  1. Reverse Engineering the Sport Sound Module

I have managed to make the Sport Sound module work with my second car - a Model 3 Performance. I had to create a custom Arduino based module that will translate Tesla CAN signals to the Porsche network format and send all required messages to the Taycan E-Sound module. Also I made custom...
  2. Reverse Engineering the Sport Sound Module

Ok so my analysis is that the module coming with the retrofit package is NOT the one that controls the big speaker on the outside. It is only for the small speakers inside. The big one is conected to the module in the left and those are the two modules that are on the schematics above.
  3. Reverse Engineering the Sport Sound Module

Wait... In the retrofit guide they point to the 9J1035446 I-Sound MLB Evo device. But this one is the I sound - the speaker in the windshield controller and not the rear external speaker controller: Note the bold text Address A9: Struct. Borne Sound (SG) Labels:* None Part No SW: 9J1...
  4. Reverse Engineering the Sport Sound Module

Given the fact that there is only CAN comm to the module, I suspect the audio file it is inside of it (the J1167). The CANBus is not sued for transferring audio/media files, even more given the fact that this is CANH (Can HS Bus) and not the CANFD that is the faster CAN Bus.
  5. Reverse Engineering the Sport Sound Module

I have logging equipment, but not a Taycan anymore :/ I will try to find someone in my area (Bulgaria)
  6. Reverse Engineering the Sport Sound Module

Hello, any news on the CAN databus decoding? Any logs? I can help decode the CAN messages if I can have any logs
  7. Reverse Engineering the Sport Sound Module

67C is coming from the gateway module - routed from a different device on a different network. But the other two messages can be coming from this module and discord explain why I didn’t found them coming from the gateway to the Module. And all of those are messages and the signals are in sight...
  8. Reverse Engineering the Sport Sound Module

Hello everyone, Here is my contribution to the thread. this is the description of one of the messages (ID: 67C) and we can see that maybe we are interested only in the last signal in that message. Are those 3 all the messages that are being sent to the module?
