If you just turn your phone off and back on then the shortcut (& widget) reappear.
How long for, is anyone’s guess, but it’s a work around for now.
Thanks for the heads-up.
It came back for me but has gone again since I updated to 18.0.1.
The Porsche widget on the widget page is all black (you press it and it does act as a shortcut) so my feeling is the latest iOS update and the updated Porsche app aren’t playing nice together.
It happened to me but i needed to charge the car. The car took the charge but it refused to clear the screen (we are talking hours here). Took the car off charge and went for a small drive. Came back and left car for 20 minutes and it righted itself.
My take on this is that charging keeps the...
I had an issue on my previous turbo s. It steadfastly refused to charge on a 22kw charger. Plus, the charging port door refused to open. You live in ignorant bliss until you’ve manually attempted to opened one with the plastic tool they supply. Its terrifying.
it also wouldn’t release the cable...
How many cars have you owned with a parcel shelf?
I’ve had a few and not one of them had arms that needed to be deployed to stop a rattle?
Good old Germanic engineering.
Point taken.
I just didn’t expect it to be something as silly as retractable supports otherwise I would have trawled the forum for an answer.
I have my solution so I’m a happy, if embarrassed, camper ?
My parcel shelf likes to dance and it’s driving me mad with its incessant rattling. Before I drag it the OPC and have them fiddle with it only to show me it wasn’t seated properly, is there anyone else had this issue and what should I be looking for?
Thanks.
Anyone noticed any new features with Apple Maps, Google maps, etc., within CarPlay?
I’m aware the new turn by turn prompts were aimed at cars with dashboard integration but I was hoping we would get something cool as a trade off. I can’t see any difference, so a little underwhelmed.
Andersen single phase home charger and the service station that I mentioned was gridserve.
I don’t think this really makes a difference as the car refuses to notify of an error state regardless of what I’m plugged into.
I get none of those.
I switched to Octopus Intelligent yesterday and at 1am my Andersen charger reported an RCM error state. The charger app alerted but nothing from the My Porsche app. Not a lot I could do at 1am as I was asleep so just reset the charger via the Andersen app when I awoke...
just a simple message along the lines of “My Porsche App has detected a charging error”.
That way I can tackle the problem at the time of the error, rather than later.
Thanks.
In my fourth year of Taycan ownership and one thing that has always bugged me is the lack of push notifications for the my Porsche app. So much so, that it has me doubting whether it’s the app, or something I have setup incorrectly.
Let me explain….
I charge the car, domestically, to 100% in...
I’d like to thank tomato for refreshing this thread.
I’ve just picked up my new sport turismo and the thought of having to hack the door handle to pieces to get at the spring and pin mechanism again wasn’t something I was relishing.
Then along came tomato with his pictorial reply and...
If it’s a free update, then why not?
If you prefer the PCM then don’t use the new AP screens.
I would love Apple navigation shown in both the HUD & the instrument binnacle. Anything else would be a bonus for me.
As for needing new hardware to control the heater controls, you can already do...
I can now turn the car radio on from within the app and it appears to stay on. That is worth its weight in gold, if you ask me. I’ve only lived without this function for three years so progress has indeed been slow!!
The rest of it appears to be work in progress. Once you can customise all the...
