Yeah - it’s really bothersome on long trips in unfamiliar places. And when it crashes in the middle if Toulouse in Friday traffic it takes nerves if steel to keep from cursing Germany and their fantastic cars.
Mine’s inthe shop as I type this. Will let you know what transpires.
Porsche Rotterdam tomorrow when it goes in for service will "look into the problem I reported and they will install the most recent update.'
Fingers crossed.
Apple Maps through Carplay occasionally loses SOC but lately it has been working fine and even when, early on in longer trips it might complain of not receiving battery information, usually this remedies itself after a couple of minutes.
My sales guy at Porsche Rotterdam confirmed that there will be an update to PCM in June. They said they will install this when I take mine in for 'maintenance'. Fingers crossed.
Problem is that NAV is extremely unreliable in Europe. Fades to black every couple of minutes on a bad day.
It is possible to link Apple Maps to your car; that gives it access to charge level. And it will calculate a route that includes stops for charging. I have even been able (don't ask me...

I'm very happy with my Ionity subscription.
I charged at the GVA Porsche center destination charger for CHF 0,39 per kWh.
All over Europe (personally experienced Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Switzerland) prices are around the same: 0,39 DC and AC at Ionity and partners, 0,39 AC...
I use a credit card or some shop card or other to clear the window from the seal when frozen - been doing this without problems since I had my Spider with frameless windows and auto drop in the early 2000's.
All normal and I love recuperation off - only when in stop and start traffic do I set auto regen on.
Normal regen: never.
I love the default setting with no regen other than when braking.
I tend to favor 4WD for mundane tasks, RWD for track and spirited driving - so not on the street with all the morons and certainly not for winter driving.
My TC is 4WD as standard so well chuffed for having that as a daily.
