Before the update the way to know the 12v battery was dead was because the alarm went off and the company called you.
But presumably that's because the alarm battery was so low it was about to stop function and had lost power, so there'd be no more calls!
Yeah it was in barely 2 weeks ago for that (and wheel swap) - which is why i was so surprised to see the new notification after parking it up and not having moved it since, but having fully charged it up and left it plugged in.
I think i might need to get another ctek as it's not getting much use!
Yeah it's usually around 3-4 weeks of no-use to be fair - but even so... i have loads of vehicles that aren't a problem being left alone for a good few months.
I know the Taycan does a lot with updates, sensors, communication with servers, the app, remote monitoring, alarms, tracking etc... but...
About 5 years ago I bought my lovely brand new 2012 Porsche Taycan Turbo S.
Fully electric, completely new platform, basically shipped straight to production to be “tested in the wild”. Fine, i accepted that. It’s a brilliant car… but it had one absolutely ridiculous flaw that has continually...
A bunch of terminal red errors on a month old car is not normal... the red ones prevent you driving it and specifically state you need to have it looked at, else you'll breach your warranty.
Not sure in what world a £150k+ car is expected to continually break and be unreliable as soon you've...
In my experience usually down to the rideheight of the car, due to the air suspension failing - and with the red error meaning the rideheight is too low to move.
Take it back to your dealer and tell them to fix it.
Just looking to renew my subscription now and pretty shocked to see the new PCS prices!
To my maths, assuming there's no idling/time-based charges, this means it's actually cheaper to charge directly with Gridserve with no subscription than with the standard PCS. You can't make it up.
E.g...
Yes, you can.

If you want to use for personal use, legitimately, without concern then you can't reclaim any of the VAT on a purchase.
Don't assume - we already know, and it makes a massive difference.
E.g. i bought outright £155k @ 19% = £29.45k CT reduction. If i sell after April for £120k @ 26.5% then i...
Quoted £927.25 inc VAT for 2 year "Service (minor, brake fluid change & water drain checks)" with Silverstone.
Not quite sure how they've come up with that price as that's £772.916666666666667 ex VAT :CWL:
It's a combination of Ionity and Porsche dealership rapid chargers, but predominantly "Porsche Destination Chargers" which are your usual type-2 charging facilities at hotels, gyms, golf courses etc. They're all visible in the Porsche app if you go to charging, change the filters and zoom out.
Yes i've had quite a few issues recently with communication issues, cancelling charges or charge speed being low across quite a few charging locations.
I got caught out by this the other week, even being aware of it.
Previous week in cool conditions i did ~200 miles at normal motorway speeds. Then theprevious friday night when storm Arwen hit i was doing a similar journey and only managed ~150 despite being on cruise at 60-70mph for most of...
I've done this several times with great success (including a trip up to Norfolk) which allowed me to charge up at home, drive to the destination, trickle charge it up over the weekend at the pub i was staying at, drive around locally, then make it back to the ionity at cambridge.
Make sure you...
I ordered July 2020 and received Nov 2020 but never got any message about it, so emailed Porsche GB off the back of this thread and was advised to email [email protected] to check availability, and have been able to book my experience day for October.
The day format is:

Eagle F1's have 6.35mm to begin with, and the dealer calcs seem to use 8.8mm as 100%... either that or they consider them fully worn with 4.47mm of tread left!
Typically about 220 miles in TS with 21" for me, driven at a normal brisk speed in a mix of town, country and motorways.
At fast road / race pace it does about 100 miles from 100% at a max, with reduced performance <20%
