I had to move my Colorado toll transponder a couple of times before it worked properly. Very important to place at least part of it in the marked area around the mirror.
Reporting back after about 6 hours of highway driving through the mountains in Colorado and New Mexico ... having regen off was far better for mileage/efficiency. I was blown away at how far I could go on windy mountain highways without touching the accelerator ... sometimes several miles.
I...
It seems that having brake regen on (I tend to prefer it regardless) would offer better battery efficiency. Does it depend on driving style?
I’m curious because Normal driving mode doesn’t have it on by default. If I’m on a road trip trying to optimize for distance, better to have it on or off...
I have the 6000XLT, which covers the additional weight, as I believe the Taycan is a little over 5,100 pounds.
Anyway, it’s great. I use it to detail the car, clean the brakes and wheel wells. It’s the only way to get the calipers this shiny!
Tire and wheel well debris headed straight for your paint. I’m not going to purchase this product, but I am keen to fashion a small screen that doesn’t block airflow but will block road debris. Otherwise it seems paint damage is likely.
I've noticed that Suncoast sells a product to close them off and prevent debris from going through the vent. From the description:
"This is a set of front wheel well liners for Taycan or Taycan 4S models with the manually opening charging doors. These wheel well liners will close-off the air...
I have some good news! TYD and my dealer are finally on the same page:
TYD didn't update tthe status (from "Port Processing") until today, the 25th. The car left port on the 20th, arrived on the 23rd, and now it's updated. It was just as @amelen said: cars are showing up at dealers even when...
That's super helpful ... I received an email yesterday to set up Porsche Connect, but no other updates. Mine is still at the Houston port, ETA in TYD is in 2 days but I'm guessing it will be pushed out again.
It's also worth mentioning that the $7,500 tax credit is still valid for Porsches sold in the US, but only if you purchase/finance the vehicle. I've never been able to make the depreciation math work for a lease, so I buy outright and sell when I'm ready to move on.
Mine has been in Houston since last week. Ship from Emden was the Felicity Ace. Original ETA 3/16, current ETA in TYD is 3/26 but that seems in question. Fingers crossed cars are on trucks soon.
I recommend calling the Porsche North America customer service number: 1-800-PORSCHE (1-800-767-7243). Make sure you have the commission number for the order handy and they should be able to help you out. I was able to get access to TYD once the car started production. I’d also confirm that they...
Got access to Track Your Dream today and it seems my car completed production over the weekend. Here's a look at the timeline so far in case it's helpful:
Locked 1/11
Production start 2/2
Production finish 2/5
Arrival in Emden 2/12
On vessel 2/26
Arrival in Houston 3/26
ETA for dealer between...
I highly recommend the folks over at GarageLiving.com (in the US) for some inspiration. My garage reno will be completed by them in a few weeks. New floors, paint, cabinets, slat walls, lighting, and EV charger install.
I used the below photo for inspiration. I don't take delivery until April...
I’m a big fan of anything from Adam’s Polishes. Their Interior Detailer with Microban is good, and their Leather Conditioner is excellent too. I use a bunch of their products.
I've ordered a Taycan 4S for expected delivery in April.

A few things I learned along the way that might be helpful:
The Door-Sill Guards are not easy to spot in the configurator. I started a thread to get a better idea of what the options look like, and...
