being cool to people driving a porsche isn't the locals intent, it is human nature. the EV is not part of the marque's history or DNA. I am not claiming that people were anything less than cordial but they were not exactly overly inclusive. I as a taycan owner brought nothing to their world of...
that is a good start, finally, but while the main body of PCNA maybe making an effort to bring taycan owners into the group PCNA cannot and maybe should not attempt to change the gear/gas head culture of the local groups. EV owners do not share any commonalities with the old guard of the club. I...
I joined PCNA and attended a few events, while the other owners were cordial they never really accepted the car and I felt like a party crasher. for the most part they are mostly 911 enthusiasts with no interest in the taycan
there are no ramifications, the only potential issue would be the 12 volt battery. the best thing to do would be to have the SOC between 60 and 80% and plug the car in, even a 110 connection would suffice.
a president has the prerogative to hire or fire anyone that comes under the executive branch. I love how some people whine about the choices being made but never commented when other presidents cleared out people who weren't on their team. Obama fired every republican US attorney when he took...
russian investments? please elaborate, can you show any sort of investments by russia in his businesses? many people prone to buying into the propaganda somehow missed all the payments from china, ukraine and other governments to the biden family. if people invest with trump it is with the...
I don't care to engage you in a debate, but if you do not understand how certain bankruptcies are a tool, you don't grasp how things work. love trump or hate trump, he has been quite successful with his businesses.
FWIW: my Ipace has only has had one easily corrected problem that required a visit to the repair shop. while I was constantly at the porsche shop for niggly issues and software updates. I had 3 teslas, only the very early model S had issues that required time at the service center.
you are...
IMHO this is nonsense. my '21 4s sticker was $133k+. after 3 years, less than 20k mile on clock it couldn't fetch $65k. fortunately for me it was leased and porsche took the 50%+ hit on the car.
then it isn't an option for me, the fiat EV is available here in the US but it is an overpriced poorly made car. I think the Mini EV is available here as well but it is also like the fiat, poor quality and high priced
I've had an Ipace for 3 years, I didn't do the battery recall, It hasn't been a big worry for me. that said the lease is ending soon and I'll be saying bye bye to the ipace. it is both a great car and a very flawed one and now that Jaguar has terminated it, it is time to move on from Jag.

the taycan is a car, just like any other car, the only difference is it's means of propulsion, that said, like any other car it is vulnerable to attacks from critters that can cause severe damage to it's wiring and other systems.
yes. it is very slow, you'd get about 3 miles added per hour of charging.
the one winter that I spent in colorado and had to park outside I would plug my tesla into a 110 line to help keep the battery warm and limit vampire loss.
in warmer weather I could do that trip in my lucid air gt in about 10-11 hours making 1 charge stop if I start at 100% soc and then charging to 80% at the one stop. I rarely see temps below 40f
