My issue started on Tuesday night and sort of resolved on it's own sometime Wednesday. The app now is showing my connect services and information on the car but it's not current, about a day old or so. At least that's better than nothing I suppose.

I had the factory orange markers for about a month and, for me, they really stood out and didn't seem to fit the frozen blue. I ordered the clear markers and installed them myself with no issues.
I had the same question on starting charging and just realized you need to simply touch (click) on the station info at the bottom of the page. So just above the red box that says "send to vehicle" and then that next page showing the stalls and the start screen pops up.
