It DOES work for any plug and I’m using it until I can get it off to replace with the Wallbox’s holster. I want to keep it with the Porsche charger in my frunk (maybe eventually trash it with the Porsche charger).
I’m replacing my Porsche Mobile Charger Connect with a Wallbox Pulsar Plus and need to figure out how to detach the handle dock from the wall. It’s two pieces where one piece is screwed onto the wall and then a cover snaps over the first piece (see the bad picture of instructions). There must be...
I just bought another Wallbox Pulsar Plus 40a to replace my PMCC at our main house. I’ve had one at our lakehouse for a year and a half and it has been great. Reliable and fast with lots of features.
Since I use the lakehouse charger only 2 or 3 times a month I could have just swapped the...
The service adviser DID mention adding a sticker, but I don’t know if that’s what the part is yet. He also said they needed to have the charger about 45 minutes to update it. So, maybe there a “real” part. I should know later today after I pick up my 4S from the big uPdate. I also don’t know...
The recall of the PMCC is for real.
My 2021 4S is supposed to have its big update completed today. My service adviser asked me to bring my PMCC in to the shop today because they just got the service campaign notice on it. He said they must do an update and change out a part on the PMCC. I...
Try getting the key further away from the car. It has been speculated that the sensors that disallow locking the key inside the car are picking up the key even on the outside.
I keep my key in my front pocket and pivot so that the key is further away. People think I meant a do a sort of...
I lost my Smart Lift function completely since my 2021 4S had the power update and early collision update. It had worked fine before since I first got the car 11 months ago. The car will lift by pressing the icon on the dash, but it won’t ask to save any location.
The Smart Lift setting has...
Nope. That’s how it is SUPPOSED to work, but many of us have varying degrees of success doing that. Some have no problem at all. Every car I’ve ever had before my Taycan has worked perfectly. Our 2019 Cayenne works perfectly. Taycan is “iffy”.

Your “opposite pocket” method is probably the same reason my pivot method works for me. It moves the key further from the car. Also, your theory about the car could possibly be making sure the key is not inside the car might be correct. That sounds logical.
Ya, when the touch lock doesn’t work for me I use my middle finger directed at the Porsche logo on the hood for the car. Nothing locks when I do that, but I feel better!
For those with the touch lock working intermittently it doesn’t matter if it’s pressed and held or a quick but firm touch. It just doesn’t work. I get it to work by having the key in my pocket but far from the handle (“I make the the pivot”). I’ll try the back of my finger later.
Do you have trouble getting your Taycan to lock by touching the door handle? I’d be interested if the following works for you.
I’ve found a way to get my 2021 4S to lock by touch the first time I touch the handle. Mine wasn’t locking until I learned to turn my body…I’m serious!
I keep my key...
I’ve found a way to get my 2021 4S to lock by touch the first time I touch the handle. Mine wasn’t locking either until I learned to turn my body…I’m serious!
I keep my key in my right front pocket and before I press the handle to lock I turn so that I am facing the rear of the car and key is...
