  1. London Roads Width Restriction - Rims Damage

Entrances to certain roads are specifically made narrower to prevent large delivery trucks driving down those roads. Usually in residential areas. Normal width is 7 feet but some are smaller than they are supposed to be or at an angle instead of straight.
  2. Taycan RWD - couple questions

Standard LED headlights have white daytime running lights, white dipped and white main beam. PDLS Plus adds the main beam assistant, cornering lights and speed sensitive range adjustment, it doesn't effect the colour.
  3. Have Porsche got the regen strategy (one pedal driving) right?

Interesting that in the Audi Etron GT (which is based on the same platform as the Taycan) they have the option of one-pedal driving with paddles to adjust the strength of regen when lifting off.
  4. UK: When did you order and when did (or will) your car arrive?

I ordered a RWD saloon at the end of April and don't have an allocation yet. It is through Salary Sacrifice and the lease company said it will probably be Q1 2022 as they have 25 more on order..
  5. Model Year has just changed to 2022

There is a Bespoke Sticker Set option now that quite frankly looks ridiculous in my opinion. Also the Storage Package now appears to be a zero cost option?
  6. Learning to drive in a Taycan Turbo

Is it bad that I desperately want an Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser? I don't even know why other than the fact the 70's style is just so funky and cool. Even the name is ridiculously cool. Will never happen though as I am based in the UK ?
  7. Porsche electric sport sound YES/NO?

This looks to confirm my theory that (1) is for the mandatory PWS system and that (5) and (2) are the additional speakers fitted to create the electric sports sound. It looks as though (5) are fitted in the rear doors to create the interior sound and (2) is fitted under the rear bumper to...
  8. Porsche electric sport sound YES/NO?

I've done some further digging and it appears there is also a speaker box in the front (1) and also one in each door (5) as well as the rear (2). These are separate to the interior speakers and are used only for the "engine sound system". You only get all of them with the electric sports sound...
  9. Porsche electric sport sound YES/NO?

An additional speaker is fitted beneath the rear bumper for the sports sound. I've pinched this off another post elsewhere on the forum so this is not my own photo
  10. Silverstone Experiance Day

Hi everyone, I ordered my Taycan last month and found out about the experience day last week. I asked my dealer about it and they said they would add me to the waiting list but said it was quite long. Does anyone have some anecdotal evidence of how long they had to wait? Also does anyone have...
  11. Interior Vents

Have you tried going into Ventilation in the PCM and touching the A/C button? I think if you touch OFF it turns off all climate control but if you press A/C it just turns the cooling on and off. Also seems to say that you have to adjust the fan speed manually with A/C off. If you put it into...
  12. Delivery delays

I ordered a base RWD with about 10k of options on the 20th of May. Currently don't have an allocation but hopefully mine is built around the same time as yours given the similarities between our orders!
  13. Taycan Order Tracking Guide (V Codes / Status Explained)

Does anyone know how long it takes between V70 and V200? My dealer says he cannot give a time estimate for how long it will take for an estimated delivery date.
  14. UK Taycan Insurance

Parked on a driveway at home. Cutting the millage does decrease the price but I know for certain I will do at least 8K a year
  15. UK Taycan Insurance

To be honest I think £1600 is probably the lowest I will get. My current Audi A4 costs about £1100 with Aviva and its half the value and power output. Aviva declined to quote me for the Taycan. Churchill actually said they would reduce the premium by £300 if I got a box but I haven't had one...
  16. UK Taycan Insurance

On compare the market they quoted me over £3K so I didn't even bother trying them directly. Is it usual for them to be much lower if you go direct?
  17. UK Taycan Insurance

I have a RWD on order and my insurance is coming out at about £1600 a year via Churchill or Privilage for 10K miles a year via Compare The Market. I've had my Licence for 6 years, 6 years NCB and no accidents. I tried Direct Line but they came in at over £2400. Most others refused to quote but...
  18. Taycan RWD Steel Spring Ride Height

Thank you! It's very helpful, now I just need to go and measure my parking space at work but it looks like it will be okay
  19. Taycan RWD Steel Spring Ride Height

Its sounds reassuring from what you have both said so hopefully it will be fine, especially if it does ride slightly higher than the 4S in medium setting. I wouldn't park over kerbs if I had the choice but our roads and parking spaces are a lot smaller than in the US. We don't have kerbs...
  20. Taycan RWD Steel Spring Ride Height

Hi everyone, I have a RWD on order but as a company car I am restricted on options and unfortunately I can't spec the air suspension. I am a little worried about the ride height as I know the Taycan is quite low to the ground and without the lift function I can't change that. I have had a look...
