If you’re heavy on brakes 100-130mph. Is this normal brakes or electric that slows you down quickly. I notice the first hit on the break at these speeds can be very slow to react.
I’ve taken the extended warranty on my Taycan for the second year. Don’t need expensive repair costs. I’d rather have the car covered than pay as you go on repairs.
My original Porsche subscription has expired so no longer get the lowest Ionity cost. Just using plug and charge which offers a slight Porsche discount. I’ll take out the Ionity subscription with the 43p/kw and lose the plug and charge. Thanks.
Thinking of paying for ionity power subscription to get 43p/kw. Had the Taycan for over 3 years and was using Ionity for the slightly cheaper free ongoing Porsche subscription. If I join Ionity scheme can I still plug and charge as normal without having to swipe the card?
Auto unlock is on the app. Icon looks same as the car key fob. I use it when my car is valeted as I don't have to leave office to open car. Can lock it when they are finished.
No point in me paying the £13.99/month. I charge at home mainly but use Ionity and MFG when I have to, probably only 2-3 times a month. There is a new Ionity charger which I could use instead of MFG. I'll have to see if the ionity card or free PCS makes more sense.
Thanks Phil. Didn't realise it was free, nothing normally is with Porsche.
I struggled to find the original threads which have now appeared with your link. I can't be searching the correct way as I knew this had been discussed many times.
My Taycan is now 3 years old and i have the option to extend the charging service for cheaper Ionity charging. Not sure what other companies offer discount through Porsche. Should i extend with Porsche or are there better options such as the Ionity app?
Had a chat with a van driver last week who was parked at the only 350 unit with 7x 150’s free next to him. He thought it would charge faster and he was completely unaware.
I have it on both front side windows. Caused by tiny grit particles trapped in the window seal. It does annoy me but Porsche will not accept responsibility for that. I've never had this issue with any other vehicle in 40 years of driving.
Both fans were replaced under warranty and as a nice surprise the heater (which was working perfectly) was also replaced as a recall. Can't fault the service from the dealer.
Sorry for late reply, end of year is my busiest time. I spoke to the dealer today and they are replacing both fans under warranty. They said they have other Taycans having the same work carried out under warranty too. It has to be UK wide if agreed by Germany.
Haven't heard back from them and was too busy to chase them up. I'll call them now as car is due a software recall and hopefully find out what's happening.
Dealer inspected car two weeks ago and confirmed some debris was present. We did discuss the reason that a new fan was produced would indicate that the original was flawed. The fan is out of alignment and they have advised Porsche that both fans have to be replaced with the updated version...
