My 2022 Taycan RWD faulted today, while my wife was driving in rush hour in DC on the beltway. She was not happy but made it to the shoulder safely. She had it towed to Porsche Bethesda, and I asked her to mention this MY20/21 problem to the service advisor. He said there are no recalls for...
We opted out of the pano roof because we like the way the sheet metal looks without it, giving the car a bit more of a sleek feel. So for me, not worth it.
If you're buying from a Porsche dealer, you have a clear CarFax, and you like the car, buy it. It looks beautiful and if you had fun on the test drive, you found a good car. The big battery and Premium package are money!
This is the other side. My decals were shipped from Canada. I'm not sure Porsche sells them. These are the only options I could find on the internet. The decals are 3M material so they should last a long time, especially since we garage the car at night.
The recent software update finally enabled the cockpit screen navigation in my RWD. Have you tried that display? The big map is nice and now in my sight line. It augments the HUD well and is a nice alternative to the right hand cockpit nav data display or center console display.
I think its from the transition from regenetative braking to regular braking. Essentially the motors stop providing resistance but because you're at low speed, it's subtle. It's also why you can roll forward or backwards at lights and stop signs on inclines. Theres no resistance when stopped...
In DC, too. I charge to 85% unless I need the extra range for a trip or extra driving. Your temperature option is for the cabin. What makes you comfortable? I do 70° F.
The manual (you can access it using My Porche app) describes some best practices for charging.
Same here. I think it's a minor recall causing the need to go in. Try and make a service appointment and you should see why Porsche wants you in as you select reasons for your visit.
DC is a hot market. Sell it privately on Autotrader and you'll avoid broker or dealer fees/costs.
If the KBB blue book value is close to your asking price, list it and hold the price. People will try and lowball you but in the end you'll get a fair market price. I recently sold my BMW to...
Does anyone have insight as to Porsche's intentions to enable reverse charging? I'd rather not purchaee a Powerwall while I've got this great battery in the garage.
Ok. You have the car and you clearly have money since you bought a Taycan. If you're obsessed with all things EV like me, what related companies do you invest in?
Today I put some cash into EVGO and CHPT, both of which I think are about to take off. Opinions and ideas for other gems in the...
