High pitch ringing sound from front left tire area

I can tell you it didn't sound anything like a bad wheel bearing. It was like a high pitch ringing sound, almost like you might hear when your brake wear indicator is rubbing. Usually a wheel bearing is more of a growling/grinding noise but this wasn't due to your typical wear scenario...

High pitch ringing sound from front left tire area

A couple suggestions. Ask them to send the head tech on a ride along with you so your can recreate it. Second, ask them to put a scope on the wheel bearing where you hear it coming from to see if it sounds right.

Stanford study warns against charging electric cars at home overnight

But isn't overall electricity usage much much lower overnight regardless of EV charging?

High pitch ringing sound from front left tire area

Wow, I'm disappointed in myself that I never updated this thread. I took it to the dealer and the head tech did a ride along. He immediately identified it as a bad wheel bearing. He said they had a few of them already. They put a scope on it to confirm, replaced the wheel bearing and it...

Spinning Circle on Center Console Main Screen

Resetting won’t fix that. Destination history is nothing, the best is when it loses your radio favorites.

No Heater (HVAC) - No fast charge!

The 2022s needed an update so either you got the update or you’re most likely not running the newest PCM. I had to update my 2022 as well. It’s possible if it was a very late 2022 maybe you got the update already. Do you have colored icons on the PCM or black and white?

New PCM update and it’s ugly android style buttons.

I dunno if I'd go that far. The new PCM uPdate also has problems. Spotify/Apple music not allowing registration and SmartLift is now broken. I'm sure there are others.

Really enjoying my car but hate charging to recommended 85%

The amount of people I read on this message board saying they don't care about battery maintenance because they won't own the car when the battery degrades makes me embarrassed to be lumped in with you all as an owner. Not because I care so much about the battery but it just shows what kind of...

    From 911 to T4S Plus

They’re likely heavier but it seems like the tire compound matters more. Soft, sticky tires create a lot of resistance.

    From 911 to T4S Plus

I would highly recommend getting all-season tires on 19” or 20” wheels instead of high performance tires. That will help a lot with range. Keep it around 75 mph and you should be fine.

    Overly cautious with my Taycan

The fact that you're on the phone in your car and you think you can read the mind of an individual walking by based on how their face looks suggests there are deeper issues here. To the point where you left the vicinity and came back with a different car? Seems like a bit of paranoia.

Electrify America Plug and charge issues

I charged at EA in Port St Lucie, FL on Saturday evening. Now issues with plug and charge. However, they still have the older charging pedestals there. As others mentioned, if you call them they will start the machine for free.

    Preheating with power from grid

That makes sense that pre-heating the car from battery would pre-condition the battery. I guess I don't always want to make the cabin warmer but I might still want the battery warmer. And yes, the correct term is pre-condition but in keeping with the theme of the thread I kept that...

Put the Winter Wheels/Tires and saw a significant range bump

This is somewhat widely documented. I think the conclusion is it's the rubber compound creating more friction. The weight and aerodynamics make a difference but people have gone from summers tires to all-seasons on the same wheel and seen a noticeable increase. I have the same problem. Even...

    someone received the 12v battery?

Is there a huge batch of cars without batteries but more recently produced cars are getting batteries? I assume there hasn't been a complete delivery stoppage since July?

    Preheating with power from grid

It seems to me there should be another type of pre-heating that nobody discusses, and maybe it's for good reason, but what about heating up the battery before you begin your drives so that the battery isn't so inefficient? Climate control pre-heat Charging pre-heat Driving pre-heat
