Porsche Austin was quoting me $1600 for just the front tires, over $3K for all 4, I mentioned that Discount Tire had them for much cheaper, they wouldn’t budge on the price.
Just had my 2 year service at Porsche Austin (north location). They also tried to sell me two front tires, quoted $800 a piece for the tires, $800 for alignment. I declined.
I would try that if I could get to the factory reset option. If I try to get to the system settings, the PCM tells me that I can’t access it while driving, even if the car is sitting in the garage.
These issues happen without using CarPlay, just the PCM functioning itself, for example, using the volume control on the steering wheel lags, turning it occasionally changes the volume after a 10 or 15 second delay. Don’t think the phone would cause this?
My ‘22 CT4 has all kinds of PCM issues since the WPN9 update, takes 10 minutes or longer to connect to my phone, favorites don’t load, just spinning circle, cannot answer or make calls (shows that calls are being made/accepted, but you can’t answer/talk), access to most of the PCM functions say...
When I got a Boxster back in 1998 (was living in the Bay Area at that time), about a week after I got it, was stopped at a traffic light, a woman actually got out of the car stopped in front of me, walked up and shouted “I love this car!”, so apparently, there are some women who are into cars!
Here in Texas, ventilated seats are a must, especially in the summer. Bay Area, not so sure, didn’t have them on any of my cars when I lived there, though my Porsche back then was a convertible.
The other day my wife was commenting how guys are always checking out the Taycan when we are driving it. Yesterday she was meeting some friends for coffee and a random guy start talking to her about the car. Never see any girls checking out the car while I am driving, much less stopping to...
Usually takes a while for my phone to connect as well, especially if I want to use it in the for music or other apps. Sometimes it connects right away though, haven’t noticed any pattern to when this happens or what can be the cause.
My cherry red CT4 gets quite a bit of attention. Only car that came close was my original Boxster, a woman actually got out of the car in front of me at a traffic light to tell me she loved my Boxster (Back in 1998, there were very few Boxsters back then)
I live in Austin TX, so it gets to 100 quite often in the summer, cars become ovens that take forever to cool down. Ventilated seats are your best option/friend in the summer here. After last two Porsches with black interior, went with gray, it does help. Also, the pre-cooling works wonders...
I leave my car unlocked in the garage, never had the alarm go off. It does go off if I lock it and don’t disable the interior sensors or put it into privacy mode. I did take it to the dealer, they contacted Porsche (they haven’t sold too many CTs), were told not to replace the interior...
