Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

Actually, I found Norwich was cheaper for servicing and I don't think they took my car for a rag or scratched it which was a bonus ? Actually, yes. Call me a sucker but when discussing the sale of my Taycan this was sitting in the showroom and I kinda fell in love

Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

Final update on this one. Due to the ongoing issues and anxiety it was causing I sold it back to the dealership (I felt ethically the better choice. I didn't want to land a private buyer with a lemon. So it's back from whence it came, and be it on their shoulders now). Final list of issues, new...

Surprise!!! Here's an OTA update. Sorry about the cold pizza

Yes I'm not a fan of applying updates automatically (Windows Update service remains disabled until I'm ready to update!) for many reasons. Inconveniece being one, update issues like you mentioned being another (including the risk of bricking). I prefer to wait for the dust to settle a bit first...

Surprise!!! Here's an OTA update. Sorry about the cold pizza

Haha ? Papa Johns. So about the same chance of bricking me, as the update bricking my car?

Surprise!!! Here's an OTA update. Sorry about the cold pizza

I've not been keeping current with news so didn't know there was an update out there. Jumped in the car and popped along to the takeaway to pick up pizza. Jumped out there, got the food, jumped back in and .... No warning, no pings, no needing to initiate the update via the console! A tad...

Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

Yes that's a good idea. I do similar - What I generally do is (more recently while parked up at the Porsche Centre as the backdrop), I take the video of the full exterior, then the interior (had that scratched before, so that was handy) with the system Date/Time up on the console and the...

Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

Yes I bought new, and not under finance (so no protection there). I had a buy-back offer before the guy left! Anyway 911.... tempted! I test drove a 911 GTS over the weekend. Nowhere near as nippy but got the goosebumps from the engine roar! Just want to try the GT4 too as an alternative to the 911.

Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

For me, probably not considering my mileage, but depends on circumstances. At work we have a 22KW charger, and it's billed by the minute, rather than by the KW, so I guess a faster port would make sense. But then to offset the upgrade cost? I'll personally pass. I'll just charge it off my home...

Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

Hi, thanks for the reply and advice and yes that would be a good workaround. Fortunately the Taycan isn't toooooo bad in this regard - I believe the Mazda CX30 (my nephew has one) is notoriously bad in that way (and it drains the car battery - even worse ?). In this case it was a faulty key...

Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

Yes I think there's a definite issue with this dealer. If I wasn't blindly in love with the car at first sight, I might have had the common sense to run for the hills. I expect everyone gets something wrong every now and then, but I've got definite theme going. I was told a few conflicting...

Ewww... yuk! Noted, thanks. I don't think any colour combo works for both, so I've just edited the post and made it bold instead.

Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

Quite a few months have passed so thought I'd post an update. I've been in contact with the "Principle" at the dealership to talk over the problems and explore options. I was given a buy-back option but the amount wasn't great, and I feel didn't factor in all the grief since day 1. I was going...

Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

Its definitely getting to there. I've been in a few meetings with the dealership principle, but he's now (suddenly) left so I'm back to square on - raised with Porsche GB

Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

Yes it's certainly been in there a considerable time. I've written numerous e-mails to the dealership principle but guess I've got to log this as a formal complaint regarding the history of this vehicle and the quality of the product with the dealership (as is the prescribed first step in any...

Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

Hi, Thanks very much for the detailed reply. Yes the heater problem this last December was one of the many around that time (and a reason for a long delay in getting the car sorted out), but I don't believe the ventilation issue the 10 months previous, or the recent one in January, or the one...

Taycan Turbo - the most problematic car I've ever owned - by far!

Hi all, Is this in any way normal? Reading the forums I know these cars suffer a variety of issues from time to time, but mine seems a bit of a lemon. And, any advice on what to do? In late August 2021 I purchased my car from a UK dealership (they wouldn't wait a week for the new plate!). I...

High pitched noise low speed - light acceleration or light braking

I get the same too and I raised this with Porsche and got them to hear (and acknowledge it). He stated it was normal and yes some sort of rub with the brakes that they say is "normal". He recommended that, if it was getting to me, to drive at a reasonable speed and to slam on the brakes so hard...

    Heating Failure

Another one here, Taycan Turbo, 4000 miles, UK (and second time it's gone pop!). Went in early December (I believe) and still waiting for a fix.
