As far as I know that is BS. The Bulletin is from November and was valid at that time since they had no clue what was causing the issue. Changing any parts then would not solve the issue as the faulty sensor might have been replaced against a new but still faulty one.
Based on my own case (I...
The center display offers a multitouch gesture for volume control. If you place two fingers on the "Trackpad" simultaneously you can increase/decrease the volume by moving up and down (on my MY22).
I was at the dealership a couple of weeks ago and watched my Taycan been driven slowly into the repair shop. Even though the movement is very suttle, you can clearly see the rear wheels move into the opposite direction very noticeably. You will definetly see it very clearly, when someone moves...
Yes, indeed. I have just commented on this in another thread.
No more false alarms since the sensor replacement. Have actually not had any issue what so ever with the car since. I am really happy now with this brilliant car, now that everything works.
For those still having the issue, when you...
I have the new sensors now since almost 2 weeks and no more false alarms. Since the false alarm would go off multiple times a day before the replacement (if not locking with the double tap) I am convinced that the issue has been fully resolved for my car.
I have actually not had a single glitch...
I unfortunately don’t have any background information and if there are going to be different fixes for the problem. It is kinda strange that it does seem to be somehow app related and that hardware is the solution, but I won’t complain. In my case it fixed the issue and (until now) I am happy.
Day 3 now and still no false alarm so I am happy with the fix. I can obviously only report from my own experience but my Porsche Zentrum did an amazing job dealing with the issue, keeping me informed and putting enough pressure on the guys in Stuttgart to get this fixed for me. But you should of...
Update on the alarm issue. I was at the dealership yesterday to get the interior motion sensors replaced by a new revised version (has a new part number) as they got a message from the factory. Obviously the original one has a production or design flaw. So far no more false alarms. Will keep you...
Good news. I was called in by my dealership as Porsche Stuttgart has reported a fix for the alarm issue. The interior motion sensors have been replaced by a modified version which has a new partnumber. Obviously the original must have had a production or design flaw. The replacement was done...
The disconnecting of the 12v battery is always risky in terms of one of the systems not reconnecting properly. My dealer said that the official procedure from Porsche was not only to dis-reconnect the battery but also to reprogram the instrument cluster to the car. I assume this needs to be done...
This is the only really annoying issue I have with this otherwise wonderful car. Porsche Stuttgart is fully aware of the issue and is working highest priority on this. Not all CT are affected and it is a rather sporadic issue which makes it hard for them to find the root cause. Even my own car...
Have my 4s CT since beginning of October and the only real issue I have sofar is the „false alarm“.
Now after 6 weeks the map view in the instrument cluster has suddenly stopped working. It is just black/empty. Both views map and extended map just show a black area where the map usually shows...
For me the browser version actually works best from all apps. Found it by accident. When you login to my.porsche.com and go to „my car“ just click on the little lock icon showing if the car is locked. It takes you to a web version of the connect app that actually works.
I agree that dirt is often an issue. I got a tip from my dealer to use one of these fluids that you use to make windscreens or showers water repellent. Applied a drop on all 4 cameras and it really is significantly better since.
Just received info from my dealership that unexpectedly Stuttgart has already replied and is working „high priority“ on a fix for the alarm issue hoping to find a solution soon. Based on the reaction time this seems to be a critical topic. Hardware repair/exchange such as the motion sensors...
There are unfortunatly no Porsche approved winter tires for the Taycan that have a "N" label in 21". There is a 3rd party shop in Germany that sells the Cross Turismo design wheels that I drive in Summer with 21" winter tires. I contacted him and he admitted that they dont have "N" label and...
