You should either add the performance battery for the 4S or go the GTS. The number of public chargers available in Oz are far less than US or Europe. Yes you may charge 95% of the time at home, but there will always be the occasional road trip. BTW, I bought my 4S new and it's a fantastic car...

You're not exactly an under 25 driver. The trouble is the Australian Taycan RWD costs as much as a Taycan Turbo in some markets. The $ value to be covered is therefore high and insurance premiums equally stratospheric. My E90 M3 was more expensive to insure based on car value than my 4S.

I've had quotes from NRMA, Macquarie (from the dealer) and AAMI. Was originally with NRMA. Have moved to AAMI with slightly higher excess as the NRMA policy renewal had dropped the agreed value of the car and increased the premium by 20%. And that's with no claims or change of conditions...

Not as far as I'm aware - I think it's a climate thing for AU spec cars? At 100km/h+ it doesn't matter so much and the extra wind resistance of a lifted car is more important.

They called early this year me to pass on the "changed something" message and I should try again. I did and sure enough it was working (I had given up trying).

Now native Spotify is FINALLY working, a possibly dumb question... How do you search for an artist, album or song in the native Spotify app? Can't see anywhere in the PCM Spotify app for this function. Mea culpas in advance...

I've finally got Spotify to log in after being told by the dealer that Porsche Germany "had changed something and wanted to me to try logging in again". Lo and behold it worked! I did not have to log out, unlink Spotify or any other activity. It just worked. A miracle :)

Yes I got the Performance Plus battery for the extra range (and power). I also optioned Sports Chrono which gives you the steering wheel selector, analogue dash clock and some other tweaks. I kept the standard 20" wheels as they are more efficient than the aero wheels. Not as beautiful...

$2,566.41 through NRMA for my 4S. Canberra based, so no Sydney tax...but clearly not as tax free as Brisbane ;) The quote provided by the Porsche dealer was also pretty competitive. Check in with them; they may be a good option.
