Yeah.. so no way to turn it off quickly from the driving condition? I quite like when the car pulls up the assist when things get close or when I am maneuvering tight back streets, but I just want it off on very specific moments.
Thanks for the reply.
Cheers.
Most other Porsche models I've driven in (991 911, Boxter, two generations of Cayenne) have a button to turn off parking sensor. I find this button particularly useful when driving in winter condition. Last weekend, we had a first real snow of the season and I was shocked to realize there isn't...
Most of the EVs try to maintain / bring up the battery temperature while plugged in and charging. Charging efficiency will greatly reduced if car is being charged on the outside during cold climate.
I've heard Tesla losing charge while plugged in the level 1 charging (110v charging) during...
On the steering wheel, your right thumb controls what's on your dashboard. The scroll wheel controls one of the bubbles on the dashboard and the big button next to the scroll wheel changes the bubble you are controlling. By switching circles on the dashboard, you can have different things being...
Before I got my Taycan, I forgot to close the charging door on my BMW 530e occasionally after unplugging the car. Unlike Taycan, BMW refuse to even set the vehicle to "Ready" state, claiming that I need to close the door first. Having not made that mistake with Taycan yet (and probably never...
I am not doing much of a defense for Porsche.. because I think every manufactures can do better, but modern BMWs and Mercedes have all sort of similar issues every now and then. My 2019 BMW 5-series and My mother-in-law's 2020 Mercedes E-class occasionally refuse to display backup camera...
Many people around me think that stopwatch on the dashboard is a must have look for a Porsche. While I don't see it that way, but those who do will get Sport Chrono Package with or without the said feature above. Maybe I live in the more shallower area but that's how I feel about it.
Plus, I...
I sure hope not. A lot of chargers I encounter here in South Korea doesn't have a charging cable connected to the charger itself, so I have to supply a cable of my own (I have to connect one end of my cable to the charger box and another on my car). When emergency stop button get pressed...
Teslas in the US and Korea have their proprietary ports, I think. I would love to know how Tesla would open up their chargers on said locations to other EV brands.
It is not possible to program Range Mode for those two programmable button. I would love that feature if Porsche ever feel like adding it.
Of those two buttons, I have one on the steering wheel to "Next Track" for the audio (Porsche at least used to have audio track buttons on the center...
I am having a hard time understanding what you are going through, but if anything it seems like you need to take your car to Porsche, considering you have airbag and electrical problems.
I gotta try that on my way back from work. I still think it's ridiculous that Range Mode isn't a button away from anywhere (without Sport Chrono package). :/
Thanks for the advice! :)
Cheers.
Hello all,
I can't seem to find an easy way to set car's drive mode to Range Mode on my Taycan 4S. I understand that people with Sports Chrono package can just rotate that dial to go to Range Mode the moment you turn the car on, but for me I have to flick through the car's screen to switch to...
Coming from BMW HUD (which I think is the best in the industry), I skipped it on the Porsche. I felt like having a worse HUD would make me more annoyed than not having it at all. Plus Porsche's Nav system is pretty bad where I live, so I rely heavily on Apple Carplay for Navigation, so there is...
