These days, driving a Taycan is like buying a lottery. You never know which porsche assistance number to call, which porsche center to visit and which loaner/rental to drive.
This comes after a battery module repair in May. Now the car is hoping for some mercy from Stuttgart for a pack...
Looks like they force bundle BESS with chargers. Such charger requires huge and expensive transformers. By bundling BESS and charger, they can lower the need for transformer and take all other benefits from BESS system such as energy arbitrage, load balancing etc.
I still remember the "red circle of death" from Xbox360 time. Now I relive the moment as a Taycan owner. 22 CT4 with 43k km. Dead in garage in the morning. Time for a new battery I think
I think these copied designs are largely influenced by designer's personal signiture. Chinese brands have moved to a new era of "copying" where they hire internationally known designers to lead new model design. As a result, personal signature design features appear in those new cars.

No comprehensive statistics. However, personally I feel I see more LG battery issues than Samsung:
- Chevrolet bolt's fire risks
- Jaguar I-Pace EV
- LG ESS home batteries

Norway route won't extend your trip significantly (1-2 days only).
Hamburg to Trondheim takes about 2 days if you take ferry from Hirtshals Denmark to Larvik Norway
Trondheim to Bjerkvik or so takes 1 day, and another day to Nordkapp
Return route could follow the Finland-Sweden-Denmark route...
Wow, that's a long trip. Will definitely follow your journey.
Few suggests:
Route in Finland is pretty boring in the north. You may encounter some reindeers, but that's it. I would recommend the Norwegian coastal route...
I ordered in Nov 2021 with original delivery date set in May 2022. Since then, it has been radio silence. Last week I checked with my Porsche center. The car entered production mid March and is still in production with an expected finish time in mid May. Now the delivery date is set in June...
Sorry for the confusion.
In August 2021, Porsche announced the following optimization here.
"Extensive technological developments have been implemented to achieve this increase. In Normal and Range modes, the front electric motor is almost completely decoupled and de-energised in the partial...
Wow, that's even thirstier than my MY20 Audi fat e-tron. These days I average 24kwh per 100km in Southern Finland. Will take delivery of my CT4 in May, fingers crossed.
I got it exactly for the first reason. Where I live (Finland), city applies a lot of gravels on the snowy road. I checked some demo cars with manual cover at dealer. The air vent captures a lot of little stones at its bottom. And in the worst case, those little stones are thrown towards the...
