Update done! Picked it up yesterday afternoon, in time for the weekend. The drive home was great, the clock works, Apple CarPlay was right there the minute I got in the car, my Homelink setting was still active, and the trunk gesture works. I'll explore more over the weekend, but from what I can...
I've just now read this entire thread, and the stress level has been all over the scale. I've had a trouble-free Turbo S since December 2019, and frankly haven't checked in too much here on the Forum since Don left. ( a sad day). Just been lovin my car! (11,800 miles worth)
I did get the email...
Don thank you so very much for all that you have given this forum and all of us. I too have deeply enjoyed your spirit of adventure, your sense of humor and your humanity. You have made this slice of life here fun and vastly entertaining.
I sense much in your parting words and honor your...
A gorgeous build! You will NOT be disappointed!
Close enough to the Chalk 911C4S I have. The color will be complemented all the time, and the car will delight you every time you drive it.
Good call!!
Cheers
Yes. Mine was among a batch of Jet Black Turbo S's that Porsche sent to various dealers in December last year, along with "demo" models. Essentially a surprise to the dealerships, they were authorized to sell them. Thus it was with mine!
They came "fully" equipped with options and even the...
Agreed!
Having just picked up my Turbo S today, I spoke at length with the Service manager about this very issue. When Porsche authorizes warranty work they now control cost by only authorizing a specific amount of service labor per campaign (and they are tight). My Taycan had 5 service...
Mine came so equipped and I don't mind at all. It actually functions so seamlessly that it is difficult to "notice" while driving except when exiting that one corner you swore you were going too fast for. Thats when you find yourself thinking whoa, how did THAT happen?
I really wanted to say...
I saw this test mule drive by the other day! Taycan Sport Turismo with the big goofy tail light camouflage, just like the pics we've seen. It was headed up a canyon road near the coast north of Malibu. As a Taycan owner it jumped out at me though only briefly.
Time will tell as we all know.
Cheers
Nothing like a good night's rest to get back on track.
After spending a solid hour yesterday trying everything I could think of, today I woke it up and no problem at all! Volume working on all controls.
And I will likely never know what that was all about. Nothing like being an early adopter...
I got the same letter and so made an appointment (in person) for 10/5. While I was there I asked what it included and was told there were some hardware changes; a cable, a bracket and includreplacing the 12V battery along with the software update. I was told to expect a 2 day service.
I’ve never...
I'm starting a new house soon and have thought I would like to have an induction charging pad in the garage floor. Early on when Porsche was nearing their final design of the Taycan, they alluded to there being this option available in the future. Since then I haven't heard a word about it.
Am I...
When I installed my clear fender markers (from Suncoast, like yours), there weren't any "spacers" attached or included. Nor were there any on the OEM orange markers that I removed. There may be some difference I'm not aware of, but if the screw doesn't go in far enough to bite, could it be that...
With a Chalk 911 4S in my stable, I am partial to the color. I get comments on it all the time.
I must admit the Crayon turned my head!
But then so did the Cherry! Dang!
Too many great colors (except for maybe Frozenberry).
Glad I don't have to decide for quite a while.
Cheers
Hmmm... now you have me thinking. Maybe yellow to compliment the yellow calipers, on similar black on black December launch car I didn’t get to order.
I did get the 18 way seats though, and love them!
So Cal has plenty of towns that do the same. Santa Barbara, Manhattan Beach, Del Mar just to name a few. Personally I've never drilled a hole in a Porsche to display a plate; never will. I use a tow hook plate holder to "prove correction", then go home and remove it, and await the next time...
Don't pull anything apart! The kind of thing Porsche will fix, for sure, as they should. They don't want stories of rattles and buzzes from their super silent car floating around.
This is a cable for the Taycan provided by Porsche. My sales rep tossed it to me one day, so I have not looked at pricing or availability. It is heavy duty (well made) and is a permanent fixture in my Taycan.
It comes in the cool little box, is a USB-C cable with built in adapters for iPhone...
Gregg, the app Porsche told me to get is called Charging America (downloaded from the App Store). It will activate the Electrify America chargers and Porsche will cover the first 30 minutes of the session. The remainder of the cost (if you roll on past 30 min) will be billed to your My Porsche...
