Hi Domy... do a search for my thread 'New e-machine (motor) installation underway'... major surgery was needed. Mine all sorted now, thankfully.

I wasn’t given any paperwork when the car was returned.

?… sent it back to it’s adoptive home with cables, keys and fobs. I’m having a complete sense of humour failure!. the air bag went pop with an instant failure!!… I was expecting to find a flat tyre.

Cost to date….£32k + VAT and now this!

Well!!… that return, after 5 months, was short lived!. This time it’s the air suspension’s turn… failed with a bang without warning!!…luckily, I wasn’t travelling fast. ?

I think we ought to play guess the cost!! First entry is in☝️.

Sorted!!… really happy. The cost was eye watering!!.

Update:- Had a call from the dealership earlier, they’ve completed the install and it seems to have resolved the fault!!…result! I just hope I’m not disappointed when I collect it!.

It sounds and feels just like a faulty wheel bearing but the issue is only apparent when the car is in 1st gear, so that was discounted. It’s like a switch is flipped when the car changes into second at about 70 (when I momentarily exceed the legal speed limit!..?)

Agreed… they’ve been scratching their heads at the dealership. It’s a lot louder when the rear seats are down and it appears that they’ve now replaced everything at the rear of the car so ??

Consumer Law here in the UK is slightly different… there is protection, but there are time constraints and it’s not that clear cut… I became quite an expert having owned a Range Rover which spent most of it’s life on the back of a break down lorry!… I don’t appear to have much luck… none of...

?… a load drone and vibration somewhere in the drive train when ever the car was in 1st gear… they tried a new gear box but that didn’t fix it, they tried something else and that didn’t fix it, so this was next (and last I think?!) on the list of options.. ?… if you’re familiar with Only Fools...

Cheers!!… ??. It’ll be close to 5 months but credit to Porsche, they’ve kept me mobile in a comparable fleet of cars and have made best endeavours to find the fault… I’m sure this will solve it!!.

My car is currently having a new part installed… I’m glad I’m not picking up the bill!!..:whew: They sent me some photos which provide a good view of the inner workings!!. Hopefully it will resolve the fault!!
