I was able to charge my 2020 Turbo at a Tesla Supercharger site about 2 weeks ago. I do have the Porsche adapter and had previously set up my account on the Tesla app. It worked great. 30% to 85% in 23 min.
Still have Gentian Blue 2020 Turbo we bought in Nov 2021. It was dealer demo with 6000 miles on odo. No major problems. Now has 60,000 miles. Been driven PNW to Bay Area at least 15 times, in addition to daily driving.
I've been using the PMCC as my home charger for the last 3 years for my MY 2020 TT. No problems, no overheating. I carry it with me between 2 locations and only issue is I have to reset Max amp back up since the recall detuned it to a 20 A default.
We travel round trip Seattle to San Francisco about twice per month. EA charging stations all along the I-5 corridor have been generally reliable. Sometimes 1 or 2 out of 8 stations might be offline, but mostly good. EA customer service is superior. We could use higher percentage of 350 kw...
We just did this through the Central Valley day before yesterday. 80 mph for over 200 mi. at 108 F( 42.2 C) with no problems. A/C ECO struggled a bit, reg A/C was fine.
On our road trips, we generally start charging around 15-20%. 2020 Taycan Turbo usually starts at EA stations at about 140-160 kW just as you have seen. I believe there are different on-board chargers as standard equipment or options that determine max charge rates. I believe I have the most basic.
I have run into this also. Especially when I leave charger connected after the timer charge is complete. This is what I believe is recommended when car is not going to be used for several weeks or so, charge to 50% using a timer and leave it connected to “the main”. Usually I get a white...
We’ve done 6 Bremerton WA to SF Bay Area round trips in the last 6 months. Used Porsche Nav with Charge Manager turned on and had pretty good results. Couple of times it wanted us to charge for short periods of time well before battery got down to my desire to charge level. Last trip activated...
Bought a 2020 Turbo last November. Have been round trip to SF Bay Area 5 times since. Think we might have seen 1 other Taycan on I -5 since but not certain. Love the car, wonderful on the highway through the Siskiyous. EA stops mostly work ok. Located in Kitsap County.
There is a difference between setup of Profile and Timer. Value set in Profile is minimum charge to be reached before charging slows and is controlled considering optimum charging time setting etc. my experience is that over time it will reach 100%. The value in the Timer is the charge you want...
2020 Turbo with 13,300 mi. Tires on all 4 (Conti. All Season 20 inch wheel) run at door pressure showing very little wear all around. Remaining tread about 7-8 mm. Most miles on I-5 at 70-80 mph.
