Yes i agree. I was being careful to quote and emphasise exactly as it is on my workshop printout. The details start to matter when customers appear to be getting so much pushback from Porsche themselves
I can confirm that the replacement of the "central computer" does in fact appear to have fixed the issue for me. I had a successful test the weekend after, driving for approximately 14 hours, with two 4 hour stints. Not once did the Nav freeze or lag. I had been suffering with all the same...
Yes, i would say that it is now working fine. As well as its ever worked. None of the rebooting, no freezes and no losing the destination every 20 minutes.
The terminolgy used on the paperowork to desctibe the work undertaken was "Replaced Central Computer"
Your observations are spot on. This particular journey is a combination of unfortunate circumstances where my state of charge is not optimal for fastest charging and not enough time for adequate preconditioning. The next leg of the journey is always much better. The hour and half to the next...
My Taycan has now had the "Central computer" replaced (i assume this refers to PCM) This weekend i have driven the car approx 14 hours (2 x 5 hour stints, with charging stops of course) I can report that the Sat Nav did not freeze or reset itself once. I think they've done it. I think it's...
There's a port in the drivers side fuse panel (panel pops off next to your accelerator pedal) Its a small Red connector with a picture of the car/frunk on it. Connected to that and neutral to the bodywork. Key was then enabled and allowed the frunk to be popped
Found an image online. Pretty...
as i mentioned in an earlier post... i've been having all the Sat Nat related issues. Car is booked in tomorrow to have the PCM replaced (sceptical that this will make any difference)
In addition to this issue, i was awoken at 5am today by my car alarm going off, followed immediately after by a...
Totally agree! i think its quite clear to everyone having the issues that it's software related. Maybe its time to have some serious conversations with sales about an Electric Cayenne
Ive been having the PCM crashes, Sat Nav freezing, Charging Stop pre-conditioning issues. My 2023 GTS is booked in on the 12th to have the PCM/SAT NAV replaced. I don't think for one second this is going to resolve the issue. Can't even believe they suggested this as a solution. Half tempted to...
Regarding the center console top row: I'm still in my 2023 GTS and i was also really missing the top row... but it's actually still there. It only appears when the car is stationary and in Park. No idea why but i accidentally discovered this only last week. I'd assume another quirk of the Taycan...
I'm very relieved to say that right now I genuinely still prefer my Existing GTS ST. The New 4S would be the most comparable at the moment, which costs more due to a few sneaky tricks from Porsche (have to have Bose for the Electric Sport Sound)
The new charging/range benefits sound great but...
I'll give it a few weeks or so and then do a few calculations to see what I'm averaging. In the first week I've only needed to add around 50kWh. Not a lot of data to work with
Upgraded Smart meter went in today (a week ahead of schedule) Well done OVO.
Was able to immediately apply for the Charge Anytime upgrade. Downloaded the app as instructed. Followed the setup instructions. Few issues connecting with My Porsche Connect account but stuck with it and eventually...
a little Taycan P0rn from time to time is what got me through the wait. Happy my photos are helping to ease the hurting :)
I'll say it again. The wait is worth it
