For those of us who are stranded with the old PCM version - someone posted a way to fiddle with the settings to trick the PCM to turn on the screen even without a passenger present. I can’t find that post now, anyone have a pointer?
Can also confirm, I have the power distribution display on my '21 CT Turbo. Haven't heard any clicking sounds from the brake pedal either. And I may be tempting fate by saying this, but I haven't even had any false alarms!
On the flip side I guess it's unlikely that I will get PCM 6.0...
This is my first car with HUD, I had not explicitly specified it. I was super skeptical and actually assigned the dashboard diamond button initially to turn the HUD on/off. It quickly remained on all the time: I personally really like it, both seeing my actual speed as well as the current speed...
Disconnecting worked fine and resolved the issue. No more error message, all PCM functionality is present and accounted for.

Yup, the PCM reboot I was referring to was using the two fingers up in right corner, which I’ve tried a couple of times with no luck. As for ‘other key’ - I don’t have any yet…
Will try the 5 min 12V disconnect, that should force a full ‘reboot’ of everything connected to the CAN bus.
