Have heard but not confirmed that if you have paid deposit...signed order....finance through Porsche has been approved...but not had an allocation......Porsche financial services can look kindly on your situation with the help of your dealer.
Just my opinion ...but the whole situation with deposits...orders....allocations should be made crystal clear by Porsche UK.
If you take PRG dealers out of the equation...because they will get preference/whether fair or not....it should be a level playing field across the remaining dealers and...
Congratulations on your order and swift allocation but as i said before if i had placed an order and deposit in 2021 and still had no allocation or build date i would be more than a little cheesed off and asking my dealer what is going on !!!
You hit the nail on the head
The sad thing is this is one of many threads on the forum where customers are unhappy with build slots....allocations.....communications.....customer service etc etc......as good as the cars genuinely are......there seems to be as many unhappy and disgruntled punters...
Perhaps too simple and not practical but how about allocation given on when deposit was placed.....not by luck of the draw.....which dealer your with....irrespective of how many options ticked....etc
That explains it clearly......luck of the draw and which dealer......doesnt seem fair
So maybe they should reduce the deposit amount to £1k and then when an allocation is available ask for the balance or lose the allocation
Porsche have been sitting on a lot of deposits for a long...
Thats very helpful but what i dont understand is how someone who placed an order in 2021 still has no commission number or allocation number....you got yours after approx 3 months....he placed an order 4 months before you and has nothing.....its seems that when you actually place your order...
So i presume an order number is different from a commission number....i thought you received a commission/order verification number once deposit was paid and order intension was sent to Porsche HQ in Germany and onto the Porsche Sales & Vehicle Management System
Still slightly confusing ....how does this affect customers who placed there deposits back in 2021....but still have no build allocation, and there are many
They have had 2 price increases and 2 apr increases in a short period.
Both price and apr can’t be locked in until final spec is locked ….I believe
So give me your £5k deposit……..accept price and apr increases throughout your wait for the car plus we really don’t have any idea how long that wait will be when you hand over your deposit……know wonder folk are getting...
When we had the last price increase a couple of months ago the residual value also increased which helped offset the increase…do we know if this happened this time with the residual value….obviously this only applies to customers using finance methods of purchase
Too true.....but eventually customers that were working to a specific budget and cost cant or in many cases wont accept additional price increases and interest hikes, there maybe too few cars but new customer orders will dip across all car manufacturers.....
