Mine got cracked along with a shed load of other damage a couple months back - planned to get screen done independently of the bodywork. Booked it in thru insurers with autoglass… turned up on the day and the guy immediately measured my current screen and “ummmmed”… they had provided a screen...
I wish I had PPF’d…. Although not sure that would’ve saved me from the torrent of stones which a passing cement lorry dumped all over the car a few months ago!!
This has resulted in circa £20k of damage including (gulp) a new roof…..
Thanks!! Keeping things crossed that your dates hold now, definitely exciting times!
When I called the PEC to book in they told me they’d mailed me like 6-9 months ago to arrange, at which point I found out the email address problems.
Good luck!
Hey @Jin - the first I saw my VIN was when the car turned up on the trailer! Although admittedly I had never asked the dealer for it. Can you drop your dealer a note and see whether they're happy to share it with you, they can only say No!?!
Regarding the PEC booking, I found out Porsche...
Well, after almost 18 months since placing the order - and over 100 days waiting at Port Emden, the day has come!
Car delivered this morning - photos will follow I promise!!
Well, I'm now at 90 days at port - still blocked. Its great to see many cars moving, but just soooooo annoying to just not have any idea when anything will turn up.
I'm now on my 5th estimated delivery date, with each one less belief that it will happen and no real idea whether I need to look...
Given all this positivity, I've got this very sad image in my mind of my poor car sitting at the docks - all alone.... I reckon they must've all formed some sort of strange bond, sitting together for so long!
I think I need more coffee....
Fantastic news, there is definitely movement however mine remains watching boats for now!!
Have you been given an expected collection/delivery date from this point?
Nope, still nothing - apparently I have a revised estimated delivery of mid July, but not based on any movement. The car remains at port with no details of why, or when it will move.
I honestly think our cars must’ve been completed same day and have exactly the same challenges. It’s so poor
I think this is an impossible question to answer as don’t think any of us have enough info as to why we’re delayed. I personally would assume that if the car has been at port >50 days, it’s a good sign it’s failed although what the implications are of that…… Some stories have suggested they just...
Admire your positivity - even after all this time :)
I just keep thinking that surely 2 months additional quality control - nothing will ever go wrong with it surely..... ;-)
Snap… I reckon we must be blocking each other in!!
Spoke to Lex last week who in turn queried Porsche - just got told it’s under additional quality control and can’t offer any revised dates as yet. At least our cars have each other to talk to ?
Similar to yours - GTS ST been at port for 7+ weeks and still there. Absolutely no view given as to why or what to expect. Have almost given up asking now and resigned to the fact that it’ll probably be another month or so before I see it - all I can say is that if I behaved like this in my job...
Joining thread with a level of doubt!!
Was originally due for delivery on May 25th, but now in the same holding pattern as most. Car somewhere between home & the factory currently!!
Another week of ship watching for mine - still stuck at port. Don't know whether its lack of ships, stop/sale, combo of both or AN Other - but talk about a truly anti-climatic way for the whole journey.
As posted previously, ordered back in Feb 22 - originally expected Nov-23, but then got a...
Mine has now been at Emden for 4 weeks - tried to get an update yesterday and dealer confirmed the details of the stop/sale but didn’t specifically state it was holding up - more than it was waiting for a boat. I didn’t realise I was special enough for my own boat to bring it over (said in true...
