It was set to 40A in the Charge Point app (Home > Charge Current Limit). I tried to change it to 16A (which I think is the default), but it didn't ever update... so something was up. The reset took care of it, though.
No, I only can set the charge limit (which is 40A).
Although looking into it, I found that the charger updated itself in the fall (which was coincidentally when I went in for the Taycan's check). And because it saves its own charging history, I see that the change from 9.6 to 3.5 actually...
I have a 40A, ChargePoint charger at home. It used to give my 23 Taycan a consistent 9.6kW, but after taking the car in for a couple recalls, I noticed that it now maxes out at 3.5kW.
Is that intentional? Is there a way to see how much power the car is requesting?
I'm not sure if it's with a new heater or not, tbh. Just that they finally put it on the truck, as shown on TMD and confirmed by dealer.
It was there for a month... so maybe?
When it arrived in port on Feb 20th, the dealer thought they would have it in a week. In a few days, he said there was a shipping/trucking issue but they'd have it in a couple weeks. It wasn't until Mar 3rd that he let me know about the heater. And there's no eta from him.
I'm on a long waitlist at my local dealer for a 4CT (and I'm paying markup). I don't have a problem flying out to any dealer in the US to get a car, so what is the best way to get an allocation or a spot at the front of someone's list?
Does "binding purchase agreement" include a deposit to be on a waiting list for an allocation (but no actual allocation)?
edit, based on https://www.irs.gov/businesses/plug-in-electric-vehicle-credit-irc-30-and-irc-30d, the answer is no.
I just found out that I'm first in line for an allocation at my dealership (CT4S). Any Americans that recently received an allocation? And what was the timetable like after that?
