The way it is done in Malaysia is if you're still in warranty period you can always buy the extended warranty which will only kick in once the current warranty expires. Expensive here though .... much cheaper in NA and Europe it seems.
When the Volvo XC90 upgraded their plugin battery, the old XC90 battery that needs replacement was swapped with the higher capacity battery. I know type registrations would be a hassle and probably why Porsche mentions that it would add any range or power (to adhere to the VT registration), but...
Malaysia is RHD country (Steering wheel is on the right side of the car).
The EV community suspects it’s an electrical fire and not a thermal runaway. The owners must have done some improper modifications that messes with the wiring
if he’a on an agreed value with the insurance companies, he...
Received info that Porsche will be rolling this out soon. Apparently the J1I battery production has ceased so to ensure the long term supply of spare parts for the J1I, Porsche has come up with a retrofit solution using the latest J1II HV Battery.
What is this new software update by the way? If it causes so much problems with the charging limit, I'd like to stay away from it. My setup is fine right now (no timer and minimum charge setting at 80% stops charging without fail) so I don't want to mess it up with a software update.
Hmmmm never had this problem. I don't have a timer. The only time I create a timer is when I want to charge the car to 100% before I go for a long roadtrip (i.e. leaving at 10 so I set a timer for the car to charge to 100% by 9:30AM). Otherwise I just set a profile where I set the minimum...
That's what I thought as well but the numbers are too consistent for it to be dependent on these possible parameters. On an 11 kW AC chargers, the max power received by the car is 10.4 kW (exactly half as the 20.8 kW received on the 22 kW AC Chargers). Seems to be a consistent 5.5% overhead.
Just wondering what would be the reason for this. At all the 22 kW AC charger, be it my PMCC or those 22 kW AC chargers at the mall, I only get 20.8 kW. Not complaining because it’s just a 5% difference but just wondering how that works.
CT4 RHD here and I had the same issue since May 24 and brought it to the service centre in August. They checked it and took a video for the sound etc and confirm that it’s a warranty issue and identified the lower control arm as the culprit. They replaced the front lower control arms for both...
Mine is the Cross Turismo so Air Suspension is standard (PASM I think is the term). And yes, the Porsche Tech will need to record a video of the car going through a speed bump or uneven road to record the sound of the squeak for warranty purposes. They need to record it on their phone too and...
