Yes, it was in my case. The people at 800 Porsche were basically useless. An individual named Adam finally figured it out, and then directed the service manager at the dealership.
They finally got my plug and charge to work by doing a full factory reset, and replacing the charging computer. Adam at Porsche USA oversaw the process. Apparently when my EA account number was changed the software in the vehicle was unable to update to the new account number. I would call 800...
It is a good thing that Porsche doesn’t manufacture and develop pharmaceuticals, where products have to actually be proven before being unleashed on consumers. I am not being paid enough by Porsche to be part of their R&D.

Thank you for input. I think it is a problem with multiple layers of error on the part of Porsche, malfunctioning of a charger at a specific location, system wide problems with defective software, pleasant but sometimes inept customer service people.

No I didn’t get a charging card. I would just drive up to an Electrify America unit, plug in, and unit would initiate the change, and the charge would proceed. It no longer does that, now I just get a message on the charger that says “Payment Declined”.
