Porsche Boss Faces Software Woes Keeping VW a Step Behind Tesla
Herbert Diess tried to match the electric-car maker’s tech prowess. New CEO Oliver Blume now has more...
Mechanically the car is fine. While driving on the freeway I heard a clunk but never saw anything, even when searching in the rear view mirror. There were no external signs of damage on the car. The vehicle height was "normal" but shortly I started to get messages that the coolant level was low...
The app stinks! Today I was trying to find the charge level. The car was in the garage and I was in my house. The app showed 83 miles while I expected a full charge. I went out to the car and the charge was full. I rechecked the app standing next to the car and it still read 83 miles. Ten years...
I live in the Central Valley of California. Unless one uses a sunshade over the front window the UV radiation will damage the material over the top of the instrument panel and eventually may cause it to split, as I learned the hard way after I moved to this area.

This is a perfect example of the stupidity of the Porsche software. The Tesla notifies you when a software update is available and downloads it automatically unless told not to. Why should we have to go through this nonsense to perform a function that should be preformed automatically?

After driving Teslas for 10 years I can tell you that the Taycan software is a total mess. It is very user unfriendly with too many choices and no priority given to more frequently used selections. There is a total lack of any visible efforts to improve this. Perhaps the management changes noted...
