  1. Taycan Options Advice

Thanks, everyone! It looks like I will be going with the tech package, PDCC (still not sure if it's useful, but at least it's a cool piece of technology), and 4+1 (need to confirm if it helps with storing skis). Current semi-final build (I probably have 2 more months to change it)...
  2. Taycan Options Advice

I just went over the GTS options with the dealer. Unsure about these three options: 1) rear 2+1 - I don't need it, but having a 5th seat may make it easier to sell the car in the future. My skis are the only thing that is likely to be in the back. 2) tech package. The dealer says that it is...
  3. A Blissful First 10 Days Living With My GTS - Photos, Thoughts, and More

Appreciate your report! I just ordered a new GTS in chalk (expecting Feb 2023 delivery). Anything you would change about your build now that you spent two weeks with the car? Alex
  4. Taycan Options Advice

I called a bunch of dealerships in the Bay Area regarding 4S/GTS: - 12-24 months wait at MSRP at most places - 6 months wait with 10% markup for 4S/GTS at two places The best offer I received is a 6-8 months wait for a 4S at MSRP from a large dealership that is 1 hr away. The earliest I can get...

Haha. Well, that's the honest answer. I got great advice on this forum and have a decent idea of the options I should get. Planning to visit a few dealerships next weekend to explore the specifics.
  6. Taycan Options Advice

Mainly for pleasure/entertainment, as I don't truly need a car (it is much cheaper to rent a car when necessary and uber to work). However, once I get one, I will use it as a daily driver. Money is not an issue, but I don't want to spend money on things that I am not going to appreciate (i.e., I...

    Interesting. Will consider!

I also like the Mission E wheels. I went with the RS wheels since they are GTS-specific. The Mission E wheels would bump the price by 2k. I think they also look better with carrara white/black interior. The price goes back down to 158k with these options. http://www.porsche-code.com/PP8TF9L1

Haha! Maybe I will follow this route after a few promotions :) Thank you for your detailed response!

And the price is down to 159k. Thanks a lot for your advice! Updated configuration: http://www.porsche-code.com/PPDNAQP2

I was also recommended to drop 4 zone climate control and the range manager, bringing the GTS price to ~160. Slight difference compared to the heavily optioned 4s.

    Thanks a lot!

    GTS (163k) : http://www.porsche-code.com/PP8YRAZ4 4S (150k) : http://www.porsche-code.com/PPMN7RZ5 I suspect that I could drop many of these extras. That's the main reason I created the thread.
  15. Taycan Options Advice

Appreciate this recommendation! I thought it would be good to get some general guidance before moving to that step (for example, 4S vs. GTS). I tried configuring a few vehicles in the configurator and came to the conclusion that I need help :)
  16. Taycan Options Advice

Well, I imagine one reason this forum exists is to ask for advice from the members of the community who are much more knowledgeable and experienced. It would be easy for me to provide quick advice in the area of my expertise (which obviously has nothing to do with cars).
  17. Taycan Options Advice

Thank you! Any specific "must-haves" and "avoids" that you can point out?
  18. Taycan Options Advice

Greetings. I have just joined the forum as I am considering getting a new Taycan 4S/GTS. The abundance of various options feels overwhelming. Power-wise I would be happy with the 4S. At the same time, the heavily optioned 4S is only slightly cheaper than the GTS that comes with some of these...
