    Continental ExtremeContact™ DWS06 PLUS in OEM 21" sizes (J1.1)

I had these tires mounted and can share pics with anyone who’s considering them. They ride the same as the stock Pirelli tires. They don’t feel any different under even spirited driving. They’ll hopefully last longer. But they’re ugly. The sidewall is sort of rounded and looks…weird. I’d...

Possible Fix: Whistling noise at 50mph

I just installed it so I can't say for sure it doesn't leave residue, but I can say that the adhesive seems pretty weak so it seems unlikely. Need to take the car out for a drive in a bit to see if it helped with the whistling noise...

OTA Software Update (July 17, 2023)!

I received a same VIn-specific email on 8/31. Later that afternoon my car was saying there was an upgrade to the calendar software. I was driving so I couldn’t download it. I wonder if that’s the update they’re announcing. It seems pretty minor to be sending out an email but maybe?

TSB: Brake Pedal Travel Perceived as “Too Long” Just Before the Vehicle Comes to a Standstill - Mar 23, 2026 updated

I have my car at the dealership getting something looked at and am having them work on this brake issue while it’s there. The RWD Taycan they gave me as a loaner has brakes that feel way better. They feel more responsive and the regen gauge would suggest that more power is getting recovered...

POLL - Have PPF, Phew - Don't have, Ugh! Or in between?!

Pretty pleased with the full PPF experience. The car is MUCH easier to keep looking clean. I paid a bit north of $8k, which I think is a lot. I’m figuring the convenience and benefit over the time I own the car is worth at least $3k. I’m hoping the improved condition at the time of sale down the...

    Dealer damaged bumper--what to do?

Stevens Creek in Santa Clara. I did ultimately just go with the flow and let them handle it. My only request was about protecting the interior with seat covers and steering wheel cover at all time. I also insisted on using a preferred PPF shop. And I asked for some additional compensation which...

    Dealer damaged bumper--what to do?

So I took my 2-month-old car to the dealership to have them take a look at a squeak in the driver seat. I got a message late in the day Saturday that somehow the car sustained some damage to the front bumper while in their lot. It looked like the PPF took the brunt of it and that replacing that...

Build pictures of my 4S ST in Crayon

(I do think that they send actual pictures of your car. I ordered a GTS sedan in Dolomite with chalk leather and carbon fiber trim and the free smokers package—not a super common combination I’d imagine, especially for a GTS—and my image shows everything, including the smokers package in the cup...

    PFF recommendations in NorCal area

Adding to this thread for anyone looking to get work done…I had Elite (Concord, CA) do a full wrap of my car and I’m not thrilled with the job. I need to take it back to get some spots looked at. They sold it as 100% custom but it's a mixture of templates and custom. The tint and Clear Plex...

New Tequipment for Taycan: rear light bar with glacier ice blue letters.

In case anyone is considering this swap, the shop that swapped my light bar said that they replaced it by going from the inside (removing trunk trim). I'm almost certain they don't have the equipment to raise the spoiler, so this approach does seem feasible. I got quotes of $300-390 to swap it...
