From what I was told they are forcing all to use the app, but if you have the RFID registered online with Circle K, I would suspect it should still work.
I have not used the new Circle K app since they rolled it out, since Circle K seems to be the most expensive charging point around my area.
I would say do what you can manage and be happy with. Asking on a forum gives opinions without anyone knowing the true financial situation. Some things I finance, others I pay cash, but I do not take the opinion of others to make that decision. Enjoy the car once you get it, it is fantastic!
I have not done a Porsche Track Experience, but have tracked a GT3. It was my first time, and the instructor told me to take it easy and get a feel for what the car is doing, watch braking zones, and focus my eyes on the next turn. No need to get the best lap times until you figure out how to...
I don't find it that fear inducing. Yes, at slow speed you have a bit more travel in the pedal, but I would not classify it as you are near causing a collision. It only lasts temporarily too, then afterwards the regen makes it feel twitchy if you're not used to it.
I had poor range the first 2-3 weeks because I did not drive that often. After several short and long trips the computer is in an acceptable range of 250-275 miles. Maybe vary your trips to see if the computer updates itself. If not, then possibly a problem with the battery.
I do not have an issue with the camera. Toyota and VW have horrible cameras in the RAV4, Hilux, Caddy, etc. where I cannot even use them. Porsche is a significant step up, especially with the fisheye view.
I like your build if it suits your needs. I am quite minimalistic, so I specced around $20k additional from base.
Your money, and if it suits your needs/wants then go for it!
My previous cars I used any tire comparison calculator online. Here is one as an example: Tire Size Comparison
Typically I remained around 0.5% difference between stock and the wheel size I want to test. I am not sure on the impact on an EV, but I ran with a 0.6% difference from stock on my...
Coming from the East Coast, and recently there visiting family, the adoption rate is quite low compared to Norway. In Norway (Oslo specifically) you see a Taycan every other car it seems depending on the neighborhood you're in.
Possibly get back into a hot hatch. I previously had a WRX (fully built engine and other goodies), which I loved to push hard, but obviously the wife did not enjoy it. Other option could be the electric 718, but we shall see what comes of it.
Great write up and explanation of the choice. I completely agree with picking a car that suites the intended purpose. This is the reason we went for the Taycan 4, and now saving/waiting for a more sports oriented car. You can choose options that suit other people in the family rather than just 1...
I took delivery of the car yesterday, and My Porsche still says the car is 'Under Production'. Just call and check with the dealer on the actual status.
Fair enough, thanks for the response. I am just seeing what is normal or not before I bother the dealership if there is nothing they can do. This is my first new car purchase process, since I have exclusively bought used for the past decades.
I know the dealers in the US can provide fairly decent updates of the entire process (ie: loaded on the ship, which ship, arrival at port, etc.). Not sure what is normal for here or not.
What is everyone's experience with the Porsche dealers in Norway, from ordering, delivery, and service? We are expecting our CT4 soon, but have not received many updates on the status of the car during the process, aside from My Porsche sitting on the same stage for weeks. Just trying to see if...
