Be aware that parts shortages in the time frame you are looking at may cause some of your desired options to be scarce. For example, when I ordered my MY23, Bose and Burmester were unavailable along with electric steering wheel adjustment.
Me too; my 992.2 Carrera T arrives next week. After the Taycan J1.1 experience, I’m not sure I’d really be ready for another Porsche 1st version EV, but it will be interesting to observe the Cayman EV from a distance.
Just signing off from ownership of my MGM MY23 Taycan RWD. Its off back to the the finance company a month early to avoid tax, MOT and extended warranty with negative equity of over £17K on the final payment.
It has been an interesting ownership experience. This car has had more recalls and...
Have any of you folks that have insurance with Admiral actually made a claim? If so, what was the claim experience like? Did you insist they use a Porsche UK approved body centre for the work, and use Porsche parts so that warrantee is maintained? How did they react to that demand?
I have my nav set to North Up and it still often freezes and crashes with charge planner enabled. It still crashes with charge planner disabled but much less often, and the left hand navigation thread that shows traffic holdups, road works etc continues to freeze.
Fortunately, the car is...
This side of the pond, that green line with the next 2 charging stops also shows you real time traffic information and likely delay time; it’s reasonably accurate. Also, if you tap the next charging stop, you’ll see detailed information about it and when you hit the back button, the distance to...
Just to re-emphasise the “don’t charge more than 85% at DC chargers”, on my recent return back from Charente-Maritime department of France, I had to wait for more than 20 minutes while someone charged their Mach-E into the 90%s. When I eventually completed my charge, the Mach-E was sill plugged...
Crashed a couple of times on my way back from France on 2-Jan even though I had switched off the Porsche Charge Planner. Given that I knew beforehand it would be somewhat flakey, I was doing hop-by-hop manual charge station navigation preplanned in ABRP with a few previously used Ionity chargers...
I’d say turning off the Porsche Planner *mostly* stops crashes and freezes. I’ve certainly had total crashes in th least couple of months (blank screen that takes a few minutes to redisplay without the selected route) with the Porsche Planner off, but it *much* less frequent that with the...
Mine too - they never find anything wrong with the battery. It will be interesting to see if PRG Reading contact me for this 12V software update. Either way, come March at the latest, I am out of this particular car so I am not sure I can be bothered with yet another service appointment.
12V battery in my MY2023 Taycan RWD behaves badly at this time of year each year I‘ve owned the car. It seems that some other folks also have similarly misbehaving 12V batteries as the number of reports on the forum always increases at this time of year.
First year, it died while I was away on...
I’ve given up wait for a 718E too but went slightly different to KLHubb by ordering a 2026 911T - back to basics with MT, plated diff and fewer driver aids. After my experience with a Taycan J1.1, I’ll not be ordering version 1 of another Porsche EV anytime soon…,
I’ve never managed to get this to work on my MY23 (J1.1) Taycan. However, it seems that marking a destination as a favourite in the My Porsche app (on iOS in my case) instantly and reliably sends it to the car’s favourite list where you can use it for route destinations, stop overs and what have...
Yup, I did the same move to new app this morning using my OVO Energy account details. Shame they brought this in now because i’ve only got a few months left on my Taycan before it goes and then I’m done with EVs for a bit and will also likely be switching away from OVO Engery too.
Yup, I’ve had exactly this issue with FoD ALK failing to install all be it in the UK. Both times required a service visit for the tech to plug in diag equipment to reset one of the comms modules.
I think it is camber adjustment that needs the bumper to be removed. Even then, all they can adjust is to make each side’s camber the same as the other side by moving the subframe left/right. They can do regular toe settings without removing the bumper, so cost should depend on what needs to be...
