  1. XPEL for Touch Screen?

I also have Screenprotech - matte - and it does amazing wonders for avoiding fingerprints. They even provide material for the entire glossy dash
  2. Slow charging on Taycan

I set it up in the app but should be the same if setup in car. If using app, you of course, have to send the timer to the vehicle
  3. Slow charging on Taycan

It doesn’t look like you have the timer or profile properly configured/set. If it is charging based on them, should see them show up on the screen
  4. Porsche Connect App - Windows showing open

Same thing is happening to mine - when it’s trying to connect - says window is open. Brand new car (3 days old)…..one time the window was slightly open so am a bit paranoid.
  5. Taycan Production Halt?

This is sort of aligned to what I am hearing from an allocation perspective in a Canada. Long story short, my car was delivered with slightly different spec - asked for the next allocation and dealer said the next one likely April. Called another dealer who said all allocations have stopped...
  6. Car Delivered - but plain white instead of CWM

So far, dealership has offered some small discounts (2-4K). Tried some options on taking car and having them lock in a trade-in value while I wait - a no go. As many have mentioned, looking into getting a matte/stealth PPF wrap and having them cover that. Problem is finding a good shop to do...
  7. Car Delivered - but plain white instead of CWM

After a year long wait since putting down my deposit - the day finally where the car arrived at the dealership. I got a sneak peak.......and it's beautiful! Except - the car is obviously flat white instead of the Carrara White Metallic that I ordered. I realize CWM was being discontinued at...
  8. Winter Tire Advice

I’m sort if in the same boat but maybe a month away (car is in Emdem - and hoping it’ll be on the boat leaving today). Getting a quote from Tire23 for the Pirelli P-Zero winter and the Nokian R5 EV. Technically the Nokians don’t have the speed rating (250km/h vs 190km/h) but does that really...
  9. Winter Rims Decisions - OEM - Taycan Turbo S

I'm in the same boat deciding - about to lock in a Taycan GTS for delivery in Oct-Jan timeframe. If you're going to drive it, definitely recommend a second set......winter crap and higher chance of curb rash and damaging rim. Then looks terrible driving the same rim in summer. 2nd set also...
  10. Build Feedback - Taycan GTS

I plan to keep the car for awhile - our kids will be be lucky to get beyond 5'6 (my height - and my wife is 5'2). I was all for the sport turismo - definitely has a sexy profile from certain angles. Wife preferred the sedan (who would've thought looks over practicality) - so sedan it was to...
  11. Build Feedback - Taycan GTS

Thanks for the interior points -unfortunately with the price increase for FY24, and the luxury tax here I had to cut back on some cosmetic stuff. I’m a little torn on the all black - went to test drive one and it had full black interior and was pretty impressed but also like the additions you...
  12. Build Feedback - Taycan GTS

definitely don’t see a lot of Taycans here - we should organize a meet up! My kids are 10 and 7 -congrats on the new addition. Does the 8 year old keep kicking the back of the front seats? Seems like a general issue with performance sedans - their legs are just too short to bend over the seat...
  13. Build Feedback - Taycan GTS

Yeah - I’m debating on two sets of wheels or just doing all-season. Even getting the tires to a shop to is probably a hassle. Yeah - this luxury tax thing is a bummer - and on top of the increase in price too.
  14. Build Feedback - Taycan GTS

Thanks - I think I saw a post about this with the tape on the ground. 216 is cray - but I guess the surround view makes all the difference and it’s really just the mirrors that you have to watch out for. Can guarantee my wife won’t be driving this car if she can’t get it out of the garage!
  15. Build Feedback - Taycan GTS

Long time lurker and first time poster. Finally got an allocation for a Taycan GTS (early September lock date with expected delivery late Oct - Jan) and looking for feedback on my build. Background/About Me: Live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and will be mostly used as a daily family driver...
  16. Paint scratch so easy, anyone else ? How to fix it?

Most scratches are superficial and just in the clear coat........a simple paint correction job should do the trick. Either can pay someone or can DIY (that's what I did in a previous life when I had time to spare - see example below). Either way, the process basically removes micrometres of...
