After 13 (very long) months finally took delivery in Perth this week. Went a bit off-piste for a GTS with a more 'yacht spec' interior, disguising the 'racey' underpinnings - Olea leather Atacama Beige/Black with the paldao timber trim yet still plenty of alcantara to fill in the gaps. First few...
Congrats! That's awesome, would love to see your spec, got any pics yet? Just heard from my dealer today and they've now said my car didn't need to be tested (go figure?) and I can pick up next Wednesday...I'm kinda confused and excited all at the same time.
I've been following this thread with interest. I've got a 2024 GTS, produced June 22nd, that finally arrived at the dealer here in Western Australia on 9th October (it takes a very long time for a ship travelling 18 knots to go from Germany to Australia!!).
Even thought the car seems to be...
Bravo (and thanks for such a clear explanation)! Sounds like you are indeed correct as the dealership just volunteered some more info, saying the replacement valve is related to pressure testing the battery as part of a standard quality check before handover. No surprise then that these valves...
Sooooo, my car (GTS) is currently on the last leg of its 13 month journey from order to delivery. I believe it's on the Hoegh Trapper which is currently crossing the Indian Ocean to Fremantle, Western Australia.
It's scheduled to arrive in port on 1st October but just got the dreaded dealer...
Whoa that's a stunning pic. Lines of the car look different in that light. Love the juxtaposition of the picturesque landscape (and car) with graffiti on road.
Heard from my sales guy yesterday that Porsche are slowing production due to quality slippage and to expect a minimum 60 day delay to original delivery estimate (was Oct 23 from a Jun 23 build). Is this the same quality/stop thing that folks here are referring to?
I've just been given a June 19th build date for a 2024 GTS. I paid my deposit back in September of 22 and they mentioned then that it was quite likely it would be a 24 car by the time I was given a production slot.
Oh that's interesting. PCCB was still available for my 2024 GTS order when I locked in my spec this week (Australia) . Heard that that could cause a slight delay on the production though.
UPDATE: Oops just realised that I'm getting PSCB not PCCB, clearly not well enough versed on my Porsche...
Congrats to all the Aussies that have their cars. Just got my allocation 6 months after deposit paid back in Sep 22. Build should be in June this year and scheduled to arrive at the dealership end of September. So looks like a full year end to end for me.
I did read somewhere that the new PPE platform took data from the current Taycan fleet to allow for smaller unusable battery margin. Wonder if the battery size may stay the same but usable might increase?
Oh yeh that's right, I work in the app dev space and we use the Taycan as an example of a car that could benefit from the multi screen support. Honda e is another one.
Yeh, was told to expect roughly December 2023 delivery from approx August production, so that lines up. As an early Tesla Model S owner I watched cars get superseded every 6 months. I ordered a top performance model (P85) and only a few months later they released a dual motor P90D...that...
I placed an order in September for a GTS and was told I'll likely receive a 2024 car by the time I get a production date. Anyone got thoughts on what changes there could be in 2024 cars, other than a hefty price increase?
Thanks for sharing. Spent the last couple of mornings nerding out to that with my morning coffee. Any other essential viewing Taycan videos we should watch?
