FWIW, in the UK it will likely be 2 months from the dealer's estimated delivery date. I have seen this in contracts from 2 separate OPCs, one part of PRG and one independent, so I presume this is standard to prevent it being unenforceable as an unfair contract.
They can estimate delivery once...
Mine did indeed arrive at the retailer mid-Feb, and I decided to wait. So am now collecting it this Wednesday.
Horrible journey (deposit Nov 21), but I expect all will be forgiven come Wednesday!
@Gra13 are there any active blocks on your car? I presume not, else your dealer would have mentioned (and it would not have made it to Sheerness). So unlikely it is a missing part, and more likely either a PDI fail requiring some remedial action, or an unusual customs holdup. Either way, really...
Not sure it's helpful, but I'm pretty sure the Sheerness side is handled by GBA vs Porsche Cars GB or PRG themselves (https://www.gbagroup.com/our-services/automotive/pdi-technical-services/).
Earlier than that, I reckon. Build slot + 2 months.
Apologies if I'm stating what you already know:
Stage 1 means you have a build slot - your dealer will be able to tell you this date if they haven't already. They'll also be able to tell you planned dates for fixing spec, build completion...
Update: it's now on a boat heading for Sheerness! Should arrive tomorrow to join @Gra13, @AGDunc and @korsikoff. I reckon even all going well it'll be mid-Feb before hand-over.
So... should I pick it up mid-Feb or delay registration until 1st March?
Following an earlier comment: Switching off comfort access will all but negate the risk of relay theft. And it's a rolling code, so you can't capture/replay. Some systems now try to mitigate relay theft using methods that either restrict when your key transmits and/or "hiding"/timing the signal...
Ha ha. Per capita is certainly one way to cut it.
But... the 14.3% is just for Zip code 94957 (Ross), right? A zip code with 1332 residents, not the whole of Marin county, with 260k residents. The whole of Marin County is around 7% (c. 18k EVs for 260k residents).
Oh, also, the Oslo 50k EVs is...
Anyone else's sitting at Emden for over a month?
Who has had there's arrive at Emden in the last month (after Dec 12th) and since been shipped to the UK / delivered?
I'm completely fine with the notion of a very long waiting list. And even (whisper it) some queue manipulation for sound or...
Stuck at Emden or Sheerness? The variability on timings and delays for each production and delivery event is so wild that I don't quite believe it can be chance. Would truly love to get the inside scoop on why certain cars sit and wait for days/weeks/months between events (seems to be the same...
Who is your Twickenham detailer? Recommended? I’m local and looking.
(I’ve previously used Bellissimoto in Bermondsey, who were great and would not hesitate to use again, but a local guy would be good).
TIA!
My CT4S arrived at Emden on the same day, 13th Dec. Finally, after entering production in September (5 weeks in production followed by a 2 month QA-hold comms black hole).
I was planning to cancel Jan 1st without this progress (I currently have deposits down on 3 other cars, one of which I...
Bumping this thread,
Deposit Nov 21. Built, but held in QA for past 7 weeks. No visibility into delivery.
But... here's the kicker...
A colleague in Canada ordered same spec September 22. His is currently on a boat in the Atlantic on its way to East Coast USA. Thanks Porsche.
Glad to hear so many are receiving their cars after such a tortuous process.
I thought I'd skipped much of the production debacle with a September 16th build start, but should have twigged when it didn't exit production for over a month (October 18th)... clearly something not right.
It's now...
Mine reached My Porsche Phase 5 "Final steps before delivery" today. I presume this means it is out of QA and leaving the factory for Emden. (Or storage, if it's missing Bose / 12v.) So could be with me by mid-December. Or not.
