The mounting bracket is replaceable; you can see one of the two mounting screws in your pics. Bracket is <20 quid. There is a plastic rivet further back that is a PITA to remove without snapping it; the rest is held on with T25 Torx screws. If you have level control I'd wager you can remove...
A Conn Box hard reset might be worth a go.
You might not be able to start the car during the work so make sure you aren't in need of it over a 12hr period.
De-register from the car (log out) and log out of your App.
On a RHD car; LH footwell fuse box (remove the kick panel trim) and find the...
I had one in on Friday, exactly as described. The car was parked on a slope so the driver thought it was in reverse when he backed out of the space and turned, it rolled out of the space and showed the faults the OP mentioned when he selected Drive; there was a 'bump' as it switch back to N...
Doesn't look like any entries specifically - might be in the notes but can't see them from what's posted.
If it had a Ghost, the VAL would contain specific error codes where the system had been blocked during its' function and then 'healed' thereafter.
Shame, sorry it's not a quick fix.
I still suspect the Ghost side of things; they have a habit of sitting dormant after a valet mode setting - until a reset or similar occurs - then it drops into function again. We see it all the time as owners don't mention it in case of Warranty issues. If...
If the system is still activated from last owner then it'll need one of the cards present. If it works with a card active and you haven't paid a sub, you'll need to sort that - however, slightly helpfully, with the newer system you can call Vodafone and they can activate the car temporarily...
Lost count the number of them that I see with that initial complaint is all; first question to Service Advisor - Ghost? Then 5 minutes later they've phoned the customer.
I suppose a PVTS (tracker) may do the same also - did they give you any driver cards??
Check any card is 'ON' and retry?
I'm not a betting man, but I'd be inclined to say: that's got a Ghost immobiliser on it.
Probably previous owner neglected to mention it. Undetectable generally when in 'valet' mode. Not the Centres' fault if it was un-disclosed.
A true PITA!!
I mentioned it had changed recently; I didn't want to quote incorrectly; I couldn't get to the bulletin info when I replied.
I haven't had any issues with SoH checks during repairs; the majority of the module checks are done using a check tool via PAG's systems - hence multiple module...
There are two checks as mentioned above; the 'quick check' takes seconds and used to have a +/- 10% accuracy (I think it has changed recently). The 2nd - much more detailed check - option is more accurate but involves a pre-prep drive/charge process.
For basic info the quick check is...
Biggest issue is bleed procedure - a full vacuum of the systen to get any air out and then fully fill the system is imperative. You had PIWIS so the bleed procedure - opening all the valves and circulating the coolant - is great; but it's done with 2 bar overpressure to ensure it bleeds fully...
Both previous replies hold water......
When the AC runs the moisture from the atmosphere condenses on the pipes and components of the system and drips away through drains. You will see puddles or drips from cars in completely 'dry' conditions as a result.
Additionally; the undertrays and...
Until there is a wide ranging specialist network of Taycan repairers you are limited to Centres for diagnostics and repairs; standard labour rates can be nearly 400/hr - for me; whether or not to have a Warranty would be the easiest decision EVER!
Have you LTE reception shown in the top left of the PCM screen?
You can try a connect CU hard reset; remove the fuse box cover in the passenger footwell (RHD car), the Connect fuse Term 30 is Fuse B12 7.5 Amp in the left footwell fuse holder - brown row, fuse 12. Remove the fuse retainer and...
We have had cars from factory with a higher than expected mileage - there is a clause in the delivery process that states if technical or regulatory checks are required then a mileage increase is to be expected and is not grounds for concern or complaint.
To keep operational readiness active when doing a PIWIS scan or Navigation update for example, the car is left in N and the AC is switched ON with the driver's door open; the consumption will be relatively high for a minimal distance - a non-issue.
There is a TSB regarding transmission shifting...
Front camber requires subframe movement to 'balance' the figures if out of tolerance; the individual setting is not adjustable. Once at that point then the assistance systems need calibration too.
