I’ve got my winter tyres on right now, the OEM tyres were discarded as too worn when i mounted the winters.
Question regarding replacement summer tyres - GTS Sport Turismo OEM Spider 21” wheels. what were the OEM tyres and what tyres are people recomending? I’m assuming its between the...
Hijacking this thread for a roof box /ski rack comparison.
I have a large Thule roof box and also Thule ski rack. Planning on a 2000km round trip this winter.
would the box or ski rack x 3 skis be better for range. Obvs the roofboox is more streamlined but the skis have a much smaller profile...
I think i fixed it. There’s an option to set the permitted current and therefore power to a max of 32A. My PMCC is on a 30A circuit I’d selected the 32A option. It seems the PMCC can assess whether the supply can handle this and if not displays the error message. Setting to 28A would appear...
car not plugged, been gettting this message recently with additional blurb - see photo. There was some damp in the connecting plug after v heavy rain. Cleaned all out and reseated cables. Minor corrosion but all terminals look ok.
Reset the unit with power dwon by tripping c/b. The PMCC boots...
Others will know better than me, but if the 12v is flakey then perhaps it’s causing issues. Possibly that powers the doors/bonnet/boot. The transmission likely completely separate issue though could b e 12v related. The old turn off /wait/walkaway/ and turn on again may reset the diagnostics.

I think a few of your symptoms are circumstantial -
-bonnet (hood) gesture release is a bit random for me.
- closing the rear tailgate/hatch/ boot door from under the bonnet (hood) ? Didn’t know that was possible
-12v battery warning- I’ve had that once or twice. No lasting issues...
I had similar problem. I did some investigation of the cable from Porsche charger to the c/b. Found the cable had over heated and scorched the insulation. Replaced with a higher gauge cable and all is now fine.
I live in Spain. Bit wet at the moment but arguably hotter and more sun than California in the summer. Never felt the need for a shade. Pre climate works well as does the HVAC on the road. YMMV obvs.
Put the pilot alpin 5 on my GTS spider 21” last winter. Didn’t want to buy another set of rims. Tyres worked great across cold wet Europe and heavy snowy roads in the dolomites. Probably not as good as a dedicated winter tyre with narrower rims but they worked great.
Well I disagree. I use it in urban environments to alert pedestrians etc and it adds an sonic dimension to the performance. I turn it off at cruise speeds on motorway/highway. I wouldn’t disregard it. Mine is GTS sound with the downblip which makes me smile. I like it.
