My car came through Houston (I'm in SF Bay Area) and I saw at least one other in SoCal that came through Houston. Suspicion is that shipping through canal was backed up. Really odd thing is that they actually trucked it to Benicia then it had to sit there for a few days.
Hmm, I wonder if that's because you only have 1 door programmed? I didn't see a way to select which door it should open/close. I suspect if you have only 1 programmed the button will activate the door, otherwise it will just bring up Homelink which is not possible if the camera is active.
+1
This is really annoying. I can't even get to the Homelink screen without putting the car in park. My quick access button is configured to go to Homelink but won't work while the reverse camera is active. Love the car, but having to put your car in park while backing out just to shut the...
For cars that support one pedal driving the brake lights activate once the deceleration exceeds some threshold. Doesn’t matter if you press the pedal or not. That said, I am a huge fan of one pedal driving myself having it in my iPace. Personally, I think it allows for more control of the car.
I’m hoping I’m on there too. Car has been in Emden for a few weeks now (destined for Benicia) but dealer hasn’t given me any update despite several emails.
It's an actual HUD as can be seen in the attached picture. The issue is that they added some extra cowling over the curved display probably to give extra room for the HUD hardware. I too am a big fan of HUD but not like this.
According to the range estimator on some of the non-US Porsche sites you lose about 5% over the 19" and 20" variants. Also, being 21" wheels the tires are a bit more susceptible to damage from potholes and such.
But they look awesome so I got 'em. Plenty of range for day-to-day use anyways!
I'm also expecting mid-July delivery of a 4S in Northern CA. Car got to Emden early last week. It doesn't appear that shipping schedules are firmed up yet which is why dates are still so uncertain. If you look at the PWL Shipping for Volkswagen schedules they haven't been updated since March...
"Actual Date" is the only real date. This means it has happened. To my knowledge, "Plan Date" is the date that was set when the order is first accepted. This is what they hoped would happen. "Expect Date" is the planned date as of today. These have been changing A LOT. If they stick to...
In his review, Leno mentioned that 21" are way more susceptible to blow-outs than 20" due to pinching of the sidewall. Anyone have experience with 21's and have you seen this? I would have specced the 20's but really like the Mission E style.
