Don’t get me started on car detailing lol
In my case whilst it is a company car I took the trouble to give the car a protection layer of Fusso wax. If I pre soak the car in Bilt Hamber touch less snow foam the jet wash removes most without contact. The rest removes with a light hand wash. Note...
I am better informed than I was but am more than happy that the principle of 100% charge (which is not 100% of the batteries capacity) is fine on a slow charger with occassional 100% charge on a fast charger.
Using the car at all is always a compromise but for business users the "myth" of you...
If it helps I have the dumbest of old chargers which works fine to provide c7kw. You can of course get a bells and whistles one which will .....do the same lol
Your interet bias is somewhat ironic, think about it, I'll help ........
So porsche allow charging past the "useable" battery capacity ie 100% charge as indicated by my car is 93.4kWh and not 83.7kWh. Wow, so useable is a lie by Porsche, I can use more. This gets better and better. I know that...
Just checked my battery (Turbo) is 93.4kWh capacity with 83.7kWh being useable (100%). Therefore the useable capacity is c90% of the actual battery capacity.
Further in charging the battery to 85% of the useable battery = c71kWH that equates to only 76% of the actual battery capacity.
Thats...
I agree with this totally in my none expert but logical way ;-)
it follows that the generic AC v DC is not the actual differentialtor as I stated but rather the actual charge rate used, with AC v DC being too generic in that regard, thank you for clarifying logically ;-)
I was under the...
I'm no physicist but have been told multiple times by people who know much more about these things than me that 100% on a home charger is fine, its DC fast chargers (ie much faster than 22kwh) than you should not use to charge to 100% constantly. When I asked for my situation ie 95% home charger...
I don't have solar so no real idea how it works other than assumed when actually using solar energy your actual electricity meter does not record any Kwh useage. If so then I'm not sure what the problem is with letting the OVO anytime app continue to control your charging ? ie if you either set...
Its worked fine with my really old dumb wall charger. I just assumed the short initial charge when plugging in was to establish the speed of the connection so that it could accurately work out when to charge to get to your desired SOC at desired time ie it does not assume you are using the same...
Its worth noting that there is a big weight difference between a single phase and 3 phase cable.
3 phase is much thicker, heavier and harder to handle.
Charing at home on single phase its much easier to handle a single phase cable as that is all you will need BUT if you only want one cable then...
I have a commercial gas unit which they could not convert to a smart meter. I had a smart meter fitted to my electricity with a previous supplier and then was moved to OVO last year (they honoured my tariff contract until this July). I was therefore just a coincidence I was with them when I got...
