I was told that because the chips are though the clear coat and down to the undercoat, they could not get them out, so they would still appear like small white dots.
Wish I had done PPF day one. One year on, after quite a few stone chips on my hood, I just did PPF. It looks fantastic and is going to protect against future chips, but am considering removing the PPF from my hood, having it professionally painted and then putting the PPF back on. PPF day 1 is...
I love my black Taycan but washing it is a chore and just takes too long to do it right. Today I am getting a full Xpel Fusion PPF. Plan is to be able to quickly hand wash with a sponge or brush, rinse and quick air dry as the Xpel Fusion has the beading technology. a little pricey but will save...
My 2022 4S is going in for the heater replacement today. Hopefully it won't develop the same problem in a few weeks. Will update this thread if for some reason it does.
I noticed it says the finish is matte. Does it actually match the current finish on all 4 screens? I also saw it didn't come with the screen the is above the glove compartment, so want to order that one separately. That one says it is a glossy finish. Just want to make sure they all match the...
A little late with this reply, sorry. Same as @BluBaby Engine coolant was low and had not leaks or other problems. For whatever reason, must have not put enough coolant in at the factory.
I have a Tesla charger at home and for $140 bought the Lectron adpater in the link below which works great. Would be super easy for me to take this to a TSuC and clip it on. I take it to our ski resort and also a hotel I stay at that only has Tesla home chargers and use it with no issues. Just a...
Got it on Amazon. I had to trim about an inch off the end, but works great:

Generally my pocket, but for long trips I don't want it in my pocket and I like to keep my cup holders for beverages, so I use a non-slip mat in the storage space front center and it works great.
Picked up my new 4S in December 2022 in NY. Driving it home on a cold day I realized the heat wasn't working. Took it back and it was a faulty heater right out of the factory. They found one at a dealer out west and replaced it in a few days. Haven't had any issues since and hoping I don't as...
I have the Porsche ones in the front and back, but highly recommend the Weathertech for the trunk. The Porsche trunk one is a really slippery surface and everything slides around. The Weathertech one is great and I highly recommend the bumper protection for an extra $45. Great when taking stuff...
A quick way to get 90% of the water off before towel drying is a silicone car squeegee. I'd never thought of this and recently saw the detailing guys at my Porsche dealership using one and works great and fast. Leaves just enough moisture for the final towel dry.
I've had two computer issues since owning my Taycan and used two different dealers to service them. Both took a few days to correct and immediately was put into a Cayenne and a Macan and out the door in 15 minutes. I got text updates and a call to tell me the car was ready. In addition, got a...
Oddly enough, when I took delivery of this car in December, the heater was a lemon and had to be replaced. I wonder if this has something to do with it.
Has anyone run into the cooling system error pictured below? The service department said they haven't seen it before and it is going to take them a few days before they can get in hooked up to the diagnostic computer. Curious if anyone has seen this and what the outcome was?
I've only had my Taycan 4S since December 2022 and I've had to change the batteries in both keys. One was after 3 months and one after 6 months. Has anyone else had this problem? Any other keys I've had have lasted a few years.
