Hi, Just taken deliveries very of my new RWD Taycan Sport Turismo and I’m curious as to everyone’s experience of the Recuperative Braking. Is it gimmicky or does it truly add range?
I’ve got SM17 COL ( my name is Colin Smith). Ive just taken delivery of my brand new 23 plate Taycan though and , call me shallow, but I’m gonna by to wait 6 months before putting the private plate back n. Yea, I know Im shallow
Apparently I’m on day 48. So on Saturday they can test and( hopefully) release. In the meantime they’ve sent a ransom pic (thought I’d share just to remind us that wait is worth it)
Apparently they text it in Day 50 and if all ok it moves from Cat 9 to Cat 8 which triggers release

Just had an update from my dealer - the 50 day battery thing in definitely what’s causing the delay. If there is no water ingress after 50 days it can be released. Now need to confirm the completion date to work out when it will be ready . ( presuming there is no water ingress that is ?)

AllI want is information. The dealers haven’t been given any info to pass on to customers. I don’t think that is too much to ask for- irrespective of how much the car cost. Porsche know what the issue is, they’ve just chosen to keep us all on the dark and hanging on with no real sense of when...
I wrote to Porsche UK Customer Services last night, and it'll be interesting to see whether they bother responding or not. Here's what I wrote -
I ordered a new Taycan Sport Turismo RWD last July and have been expecting delivery this month. My dealer ,Porsche Centre Cambridge, have the car...
Yeah, it’s truly shit how Porsche AG just don’t seem to give a damn about their customers who have spent 6 figures with them. To not even offer any explanation is just arrogant and derisory . I’ve also had to change major plans due to this shitshow. That said, and as frustrated as I am by...
spoke to my dealer and they confirmed that the logs were sent on Monday with a MINIMUM 3 working day lead time. Turns out that Monday and Tuesday were bank holidays in Germany though so the clock didn't start ticking until Wednesday. They haven't had any response back on any of their cars...
