hi Guys probably been asked many times before -I am running Goodyear tyres and currently have around 6k miles on car -I am a cruiser not a racer so what sort of mileage should I expect out of these tyres - these tyres were standard on a a new car and I have had to replace one where I had a sidewall bulge on a front tyre after a pot hole incident - Plan A is to replace with Michelins which I have had good mileage out of on previous Taycans so would like an idea if any forum member has had Goodyear tyres and history of expected wear advice which I can use to plan replacement

I got 17k out of my Goodyear NFO's before the inner was shredded (as it often is).

I just changed my original front Goodyear Eagle F1 NF0s after 9000 miles - I picked up a puncture and saw the inside shoulder was down to the cords; the majority of the tyre width had plenty of tread left. I've replaced them with the same tyre: Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 NF0s.

I'd like to fit Michelin PS4s but in the UK we seem to be limited to either the Goodyears or Pirelli P-Zeros for 21" NF tyres.

My CPO came with Goodyears F1 Asymmetric 3's on the rear last year. The fronts have Asymmetric 5's. I've put 20,000 miles on them this past year and the rears now have about 3-4/32 so I will replace them soon. The fronts still have 6-7 and going strong after 20k miles. I am very satisfied with the tires and see no need to change brands. The car is a daily driver and I don't need sticky summer tires that wear down quickly for normal driving.

Difference in mileage out of the last two posts referencing the same tire is wild.

Yes, it surprised me as well. I have a tire gauge and check them periodically. I’m guessing when they CPO’d the car they put brand new tires on the front and the rear tires had six or seven left on the tread depth which explains the difference. I also have no idea what the difference between asymmetric 3 and asymmetric 5 are, I haven’t looked that up. Maybe the fives which are on the front have a much better tread life.

The previous post stated he had uneven wear on the inside of the tire at 9000 miles which is why they needed to be replaced. All of my tires have very even wear and nothing unusual. I drive in normal mode 95% of the time.

thanks for replies guys very much appreciated - my tyres appear to be wearing pretty much across tread without any noticeable scuffing/wear on edges -obviously cannot see inside tread as well as outside -replacing the one tyre will also throw out the thought of changing all tyres together - my 1st service is not due until September and no doubt my centre will be measuring and advising - I like to change when showing 3.0 tread left - I may pop into my local tyre fitter and ask him to measure in a month or so - I like to plan ahead so I do not get expensive surprises -Boy Scout syndrome ! once again thanks for input - all season michelins I have been using on earlier cars as I found P-Zeros did not last long on previous Panamera's I had before going electric

a thought re wearing uneven - my last car was GTS ST and this latest is a 4s CT -both have four wheel steer -am I correct in assumption that would help with keeping wear even across tred ?

not being a racer and as stated I am more of a cruiser so does the four wheel function keep wheels planted re hard cornering ?

I feel like the same tyre is made with 2 different rubber compounds. It would be interesting to know where the tyres come from.
My previous CT only had 9000 miles when I sold it and the tyres were done! Car was used for school runs and 2 trips of 180miles each over 2 Years with winter tyres from November to March. Probably 5000 miles total on the Goodyear.
Of the 9000 I have a only done 1000 myself , the rest my wife. heaviest foot on the planet?
