Personally I would NOT run a performance saloon car like Taycan in UK/Europe on “our” all-season spec tyres all year round.

Conversely I would and I do run the certified Porsche ‘winter’ tyres - during the colder months. Note the different size and wheel profile to our Porsche spec summer tyres - which also makes a difference as much as specific compound and tyre construction, certainly for my Taycan variant.
Absolutely, and I agree that one should very much take into consideration the local conditions for the different seasons. With the very high summer temps England seems to get only more of, a dedicated summer tyre should be the choice.

For my area, the shoulder seasons where neither summer or winter tires are optimum, just seem to get longer and longer. Hence my interest in trying an all-season solution when my current winter tires are done. Would be an interesting experiment, and with a full set of summer tires in the garage, one could easily shift around if summer performance turned out to be too much of a compromise...?

Fair point re not running all seasons on a performance car. I’m basing experience of these tyres on SUV which obviously is a completely different beast.

I’ll see how I go with these on the 21s and possibly swap to winter tyres at some point.

Let us know your findings with all seasons on Norway.

Hello,
I live just outside London and think the all seasons will be better than winter tyres. My tyres show Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season tyres with NF0 but these are H rated which seems odd for a performance tyre.

https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rshop/tyr...Season/285-40-R20-108H-XL-Elect--NF0/R-438669

Any thoughts?
Thanks
They're new on there, good find. I think when i looked a while back you could only get NFO in the front size (or maybe it was the back).

Must admit i had a bit of a half a crown-six pence moment last week on my summer version of those on a slippery country road, though they stopped me before the junction in the end! Hassle / storage factor remains a big hurdle for me, and i guess a lot of other people in towns.

Porsche's own approved tyre doc shows all options for AS tyres, for all wheel sizes, being H rated, so that wouldn't worry me. I did hear/read (can't remember where) that Pirelli don't directly offer these tyres in the UK market, don't know why.
I might have ordered them myself had they been available before I gave up looking for AS and instead ordered a set of Porsche wheels with winter tyres. I'd originally planned on swapping tyres keeping my current wheels, but the only way I could guarantee getting 4 matching tyres was by ordering the Porsche set with wheels. What concerns me is the apparent difficulty sourcing a replacement for any of the Porsche-approved non-"Summer" tyres, given the need to change both tyres on an axle and the need to have all 4 tyres of the same brand.

I live in a town centre but have a garage.
Porsche dealer offered to change my wheels and store the ones not in use for iirc £100 per year, not bad IMO since I don’t do it myself any more and the local tyre fitter charges £30 each time and I still have to carry them about and a set of 21” wheels and tyres are dirty and heavy.

That is great value for money... I presume you purchased the winter set from the dealership.

Agree. I would definitely pay for this service. As it is here where I live, I store my tires myself and change them myself because of the aggravation of taking the tires and the car to the dealer.

I did.
There is an experienced tyre fitter within walking distance of my house, he even has all the tools for Porsche centre lock wheels, and I have been going there for many years and my dealer is 40 minutes away so I still store them here.

Mine is charging more for "hotel" storage- £20 per month including 2 swaps within each 12 month period- but it's worth it for the convenience.

Is that 2 swaps of wheels, or swapping over the tyres onto original set of wheels?

It is entirely possible I mis-remembered hence my noting iirc.
I am old and forgetful about stuff like that.

Me too, but it's fresh in my mind as I got the call today to tell me that my wheels with winter tyres had arrived from Germany and I've arranged for fitting and storage. (Unfortunately, availability issues forced me to give up on my less costly plan to get All Seasons to have them swapped on my existing wheels).
Anyway, it wouldn't surprise me if you have remembered correctly, and there was wide variation between dealerships (mine has the benefit for me of being less than an hour away on foot).
