Hi all,

Come end of April the allocations for MY23 will be decided. What is the “normal” time from allocation to delivery?

Lead time is determined from locking your build (after allocation) and then typically 2 - 3 months for build and delivery.

I had enough time to work out my build choice so from my part I will be able to immediately confirm and lock in. Or does Porsche decide when you are allowed to lock in?

Your dealer will have the actual lock down date and so you will normally be tied to this to then fall in line with the next stages (production sequencing). Not sure that you can go early unless a similar slot to yours is freed up.

It is very difficult to predict given the current situation but speak with your dealer to get a better indication.

In my experience (normal times) 2 - 3 months elapsed.

Just replied to a similar question in another thread...getting your dealer to input your final build to the Porsche system as soon as they are able won't get it built any faster BUT avoids the risk of being caught out if the lock date is unexpectedly brought forwards (as recently happened to me- by 2 weeks, with production start date unchanged...luckily this was discovered when I was finalising my build 2 days before that :whew:)

I’m going to lock in my configuration as soon as I get confirmation that I have a slot.
