I know the PCM NAV system has its challenges and people use Apple Car Play and other iPhone apps. I'm still trying to use the native NAV to see what I can discover. In so doing, I've had a couple of times when I'm driving along and the car announces that an alternative route is available that will reduce my trip time by x minutes (7 minutes one time and 6 the other). Then, nothing... With other systems I've used, the screen pops up with the alternative and I'm able to decide whether to take the alternative or use the existing route. With the Taycan NAV, nothing seems to happen. This last time, I went to the 3 dots and selected the alternate routes pick but nothing showed up as being 6 minutes faster. So, I was left to wonder whether the NAV system had chosen the alternative for me on its own, or the alternative didn't exist any longer, or it never existed at all.
