I don't know about you all, but when I press the power button to turn my car off, I don't think much about it. Just press the button, open the door and exit the vehicle. Today, I just happened to be watching the dash, and noticed that the power down sequence of the car includes the odometer rolling backwards to 0. That's when I thought - man some engineer someplace had fun and is taking credit for that.

However, does this mean that over time, my car will take longer and longer to power off?:CWL:

Even though folks with odometers in km have it worse, my guess is no. The car's computer is doing many tasks simultaneously, and the extra second or so at high mileage won't make much difference.

Check the my Porsche app. I was surprised to see what appears to be every trip I took listed, complete with date, mileage, etc. This also told me what appears to be my average rate of Kw consumption.

The real question is... if you quickly power it back up as it has rolled half the mileage back, does it stay at that lower mileage? :CWL:
Cameron [from Ferris Bueller's Day Off] would have loved that on the Ferrari!
