So the car is needing some sort of reset, then level 1 to 2...huh..
My hunch is that your car needs more than a reset, more like a new onboard charger.

My PIWIS is not able to do it for the Taycan. Says it needs to be online...
Pulling codes might be available offline. Often it's only the engineering mode that is locked by online access in unhacked versions (the hacked versions have offline engineering functionality). That said, error codes can often be retrieved with other tools, like CarScanner, or OBDeleven. Granted, with those other tools sometimes you will not get good error descriptions.

I once had the "Error charging not possible" (11kw charger) ... on the very first day of owning the car.
Took it to ionity, didn't want to charge DC either.
Made it home in range mode with 2-3% battery left, plugged in the Porsche charger in a regular outlet, charging at 2kw ... worked fine.
Has been a year now, never had issues charging since. (AC and DC)

Since weather has been warmer, no issues charging on level 2.

Mine also failed when it got colder. The actual error reported by the onboard charger was about being unable to read a temperature, so perhaps related to change in temperatures.

been charging fine for weeks...

a random cold front came through yest. temps dropped to 30-40s.
won't initiliaze charging.

i haven't had a chance to take it in to read the codes but I am pretty certain it's related to temperary.
