First time on a road trip… have been using the charge planner… all good. Able to set desired SOC at destination and at stop. However I noticed that the range quoted at the start of the journey once I select the charge planner drops… by about 40km. Thought it might be the amount I want to keep at stop (20%) subtracted from total range but hard to figure it out exactly.

curious if anyone else has seen this and sussed it out?

The displayed range should be total range, not adjusted for the 20% buffer for arrival.

What I have noticed is that the range gets adjusted once you input a destination and "activate" the route planner. It seems smart enough to anticipate your driving. I've had almost no change when inputting a rural, flat trip. I've seen 30 miles "disappear" when the route involved 75mph highway and gaining elevation. The adjusted range seems to be pretty accurate when using the route planner.

Can you please advise how to setup desired SOC at destination and at stop.

I know how to setup at final destination but how to adjust it at chargers during road trip?

I want to be able to stop at chargers at 5% and at final destination with 15%

Is that possible?

Thanks

Didn't have time to go to the car but on the app select "map" and search for a destination. Select the destination and hit "plan". At the top of the next screen you will see "charging". That lets you set individual levels for arrival at chargers and at your destination.

Great. I was able to do it via the phone application. Using it you can adjust percentage arrival for the charging stations and end destination.

Another thing I just noticed that when I plan the route using my phone and use the option to send it to car, when I open cars navigation I can select the proposed route but the total time of the trip and charging stations are different from the ones that phone application showed. Really strange.
Phone shows 6 hour trip but car navigation after accepting that route from the phone shows almost 7 hours with different charging stops and time of each charging session.
Anyone had that issue before?

Sorry for hijacking this thread.

Thanks

Try unticking the charge planner option in the car.

If you use the range mode it goes with a plan at 9% at charging stop. The app planning has nothing you do with the car planning ?

I don't use the range mode but I thought if I selected a route on my phone and sent it to car the distance and time should be the same on the car navigation as it was just on my phone Porsche trip planner?

It would not surprise me if they used a different routing algorithm and/or traffic data.
I have seen some very poor estimates made by the Porsche app and have stopped using it.

i had a similar problem…. I went in to the Nav options on the car and unticked the planner option. This seemed to keep what was sent from the phone. I did pop up an option of “Faster route found” but this was selecting Range mode. I just ignored it.

Thanks, Glenn. I will try your suggestion.

I have Tesla Y and what you have on the phone same goes inside the car so I was surprised that Porsche was doing that.
