My 2023 Taycan 4s fell into the group for the "High voltage batteries may short circuit" recall. After the recall service, my car will not charge properly. I get the message "Charging error." Or error: charging not possible. I never had any issues before the recall. The profile was set to optimized charging at 80% and that worked fine for 2 years before the recall.
The vehicle starts charging okay but after an hour or so I get the error message. Example: at 2:21 pm the battery was at 20% and the mileage was 40 miles when I started charging. At 3:17 pm I got the Charging error with the battery at 26% and mileage at 53 miles.
After a fruitless trip to the dealer to remedy the problem, I am still having problems with both direct charging and timed charging.
The dealer reprogrammed the high voltage batteries and got it to charge from 16% to 87% and found no faults related to charging. After I got the car home, I was getting the same charging errors as before. I have a Level-2 50A circuit for charging. My wife's Volvo XC40 recharge charges fine, so I think I can rule out problems with the charging infrastructure of the house.
Has anyone seen such a problem? Any suggestions for me to try?
